I\'ve decided that I need to kill some people. This question may provoke some heated debate but I need to know conclusively what the best FPS is.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Damn that was quick, do you mean a patch for a ps2 game? I thought they were only for pc games, or am I a twat?!

Doom is "THE" definitive shooter for the PC.. the one that made FPS\'s famous and IMO is still the best. It\'s circa 1992, so the Legacy patch adds in things like High rez (600x800 & up), vertical aiming, jumping, a console, online play, skins, transperancys... all kinds of neat graphical upgrades without ruining the original core of what made the game great.

Always preferred Wolfenstein 3D myself.

Any recomendations for PS2? I was thinking either Red faction or Half life.

Thanks for the tip friend. Oh yeah, I wouldn\'t want to forget...it\'s Pat Sajak, at least most people I know capitalize the first letter of a persons first, middle, and last name.;)

I\'ve already got Unreal, found it a bit cartoony and comedial. I need a realistic FPS where people beg for their life before being spread around a few different parts of the arena.

Also, the guns and animation of them is very important, it\'s the little things that make killing someone so pleasurable!!
