I also lost respect for the TR series long time ago but then the movie came and Angelina make me change my mind:D.

The grafix are very nice!

I agree, this doesnt look much better then Shenmue. And I guess they wont change the gameplay too much ether.

I know the graphics are not the best in the world, although they aren\'t to bad either. compare the graphics of the PS1 to this and I am sure that you will see a great improvement that has taken place. I can also imagine that the stages will be hugein size.

I think we have one special game coming our way...I just wonder if this will be available on all consoles or will Sony get Eidos to make it a PS2 exclusive???

I appreciate that they\'re still working on it, but in terms of graphics, it\'s a long way off a \'next-generation\' TR. As has been rightly pointed out in previous posts, take a look at Shenmue II, walk along any street (especially disc 3) and gaze at the splendour of the detailed environments. They really make TR pale in comparison.

And as for Miss Croft?! Hardly the improvement that much of the gaming press were speculating at. Remember the CG mock-up months ago, and claiming that is how good she would look? Well, they were obviously wrong, but she should look a great deal better that what we see.

Let\'s hope the level-design will match the genius of the first game, and the gameplay will sparkle, \'cause it cant rely on looks alone (which is kind of ironic, really).

I know, the game won\'t be totally different in official pictures, but hope and see...

PD: can anybody tell me what is that of "merged" in the thread title, any new rule?

I don\'t like that 2nd pic. It looks too grainy and jaggy. Of course it could just be how it was scanned in.

Saying it looks good doesn\'t mean that I think they are the best pics of any game I\'ve seen (much less the best the PS2 can do). Now, if the rest of the game is good (gameplay for example) then we might have a series that is on its way to revival. If not, back to the gutter with this game.

Also, the gamers.com pics are SO MUCH BETTER THEN THE IGN ONES!!!

Plus, there is one different pic IGN doesnt have, and its so much better!!! Take alook at the back of Lara in the orange room pic. Her back and butt looks fantastic!!!

Personally i think that for the first batch, this game looks great. The textures are really clean and the lighting isnt all that bad. Its a different setting too, (the whole urban setting). Eidos said they were looking to change the game, (thank god) :o. Im pretty excited about this one. :D
