ok, so i went to cd warehouse [my fav store] to look for new DVD\'s as i had an 9$ off punch card and they had a copy of wreckless, so i picked it up for 11$ [they sell PS2, NGC and xbox games for 20$]
i dig arcade racing games like these, so i figured why not
i dont find the game boring like others [npyyz], and the special effects are pretty cool, but....
WHAT THE F*&# IS UP WITH THE BLUR?
am i playing this on the N64?
it distracts from the entire game
im assuming its a developer issure and not an xbox shortcoming
the music = lame, and the car sound effect [exhaust] are a joke
the cut scenes are VERY stupid, and the menus are plain
so, if u like driving around and smashing stuff up and dont are about ANY other aspect of gaming, pick this one up
oh, one last thing
they dont even frickin say the word "yakuza" right in the game
it\'s not pronounced like "yakOOza", morons :rolleyes:

its a cd trading store
they sell new and used CD\'s, used DVD\'s and used GAMES
they pay 10$ cash for games, so the punk kids in my city steal them and turn them into cash there
works out well for me
ASH, two other people gave reviews for the game, so i figured it give my shot at the "highly hyped" xbox game
the developers should be ashamed

Some of it is the heat wave. Stop the car and watch the wave go across the screen.
the music = lame, and the car sound effect [exhaust] are a joke
IMO, the music matches the type of gameplay but the exhaust effect don\'t sound that good but still not to bad.
I\'m now on B side and the levels are getting much harder to pass. :D

I passed on wreckless racers are not my type of games. Unless it is on the line of Gt. That twisted metal type stuff is boring to me.

I thooght Wreakless was OK!, but nothing special, I mean it a good rent for me and my friends, as for it\'s purchase price, i\'ll only buy it if i get it for 15 bucks.

I\'m not sure if this is what you are referring to, but I noticed a waving looking blur every now and then when playing that game. It reminded me of what it looks like when the heat is coming off a road, or the hood of a car on a hot summer day. You get that wavy heat effect.

I just rented the game to find out what all the fuss is about and I like the game. I\'m glad I didn\'t buy it, but I will enjoy it for the next two days. I\'m not sure it offers much after that though.

Watchdog, I\'m at B9 now and this game is really fun In B8 there is 2 Tanks in that level that will shot you with thire shells and its so cool to see. Cars go flying in the air it\'s like a war zone! I get hit by the shell and go flying back kinda far LOL!! When I open the tank up, I\'ll go back in B8 and blast them to bits! :D

reading stuff about this game way before it came out, I knew it would be nothing great... Just a repeat of other games only looking better(whoop-dee-doo)..
But since there really isn\'t a whole hell of a lot of great fun games on xbox right now.. This game helps pass the time till the better ones come out.. So I\'d get it...
ONLY IF I HAD A BOX! I\'m poor after those AAA games for ps2..:D

You know, it\'s quite fun actually. It won\'t change your life, and no one will rave about it in a few months time, but I\'m enjoying it.
If you want to know what it is like, it feels, sounds and looks like an arcade game, literally. Years ago I would have put many quarters into this game.
Do I recommend a purchase? I\'d say no, unless you\'ve read what I and others have said and go in knowing what you are getting.
