My PS2 will only play games that have a silver bottom, if I try to play a Blue bottomed game it will say "disc read error".  What is wrong with my PS2?

your dvd laser (what reads the disc) might be messed up. thats what happened to mine i just had to clean it. it got messed up because of smokin weed and cigs around it.  it got clogged up with tar and residue.  do you smoke nething around it that might be the problem.
