Title: ##RaCeR##\'s going to Las Vegas.
Post by: ##RaCeR## on February 18, 2002, 05:32:20 PM: OK, I have been before, but I only stayed there 3 days. This time, I am staying in Vegas for 15 days, so I wanna make the most of my stay!

What are some fun and interesting things to do around Vegas? I have already been to Circus Circus, Excalibur and New York New York and the M&M Factory.

What are some other exciting things to do in the town? The Hoover Dam was boring...

Also, I am gonna check out California Adventure when I go back to L.A. Is it any good?

Post by: videoholic on February 18, 2002, 05:54:09 PM: You\'re too young to have fun in Vegas. The theme parks suck ass. I went there to do a feature story on them about 5 years ago because they were suppose to be the new hip thing, "Family Vegas".. Well they suck and they are a waste of money.

I am going for 5 days in April for a convention. That is more than enough time. I couldn\'t imagine 2 weeks.

If you are going early enough there is skiing only a couple hours away. They also have some cool horseback trails just outside the city.

like the wooden nickle, golden horsehoe

all the old casinos rock

me and my friends spent 7 hours on the 2 dollar blacktable getting free drinks and smokes and ya really cant lose alot of money at 2$ a hand

you wont find anything less than 5$ a hand on the main drag
i stayed at the venetion hotel and thier mininum table was 10$

That\'s a great hotel. Lona and I stayed in Bellagio last time we went. Room right on the lake. Kicked ass.

We also spent our cash in the dumps. It\'s fun that way. Nasty waitresses though.

I went to Fremont Street to watch the light show on the roof at Christmas 2000, it was great.

I stayed at Excalibur, probably gonna stay at MGM this time.

I am going cause dad is going to Infocom convention or something. Its an audio visual thingo or something.

Is there still snow anywhere in the US in June??? At all??? Just a tiny bit???

not really. I went to Vegas in High School and it pretty much blew nuggets. Nothing to do. You could go to some of the shows, but they get expensive when you are there for 2 weeks. Go see \'O\' though. It\'s awesome. It\'s at the Belagio.

Just grow a mustache and pretend.

Yeah, i could have gone two years ago (when i was 18) but couldnt be bothered, so i stayed home alone for 2 weeks, settin up ur own casino/pub/strip club at home is much more fun!!!!:D

Stay away from Disneyland like you would a leperous village. I\'m serious. Don\'t go anywhere near there in June. Orange County is one of the worst places in America, and Disneyland is the capital. If you\'re coming to LA, just go to Pasadena or Santa Monica or Malibu and just HANG. Man, California is for relaxing, not getting wound up in crowds of Japanese tourists at Disneyland.

BTW, are you interested in a map to Mariah\'s estate? I can get you a good deal.... let me know when you want to talk :laughing:

I actually enjoyed Orange County, I thought it was one of the better places in LA. Hollywood is just too gay for my liking.

Anyways, I\'m up in the northeast at Nellis AFB. When you actually live here the strip gradually develops into a mere background on the horizon. But there\'s nothing funner than going with friends and throwing rocks at asian tourists.......

Circus Circus... The adventure dome.... Is sorta lame, ****ty rides cramped into a giant bubble, we all know that the adventure dome really is a place for the parents to dump their kids so they can hit the slots.... Pretty lame....

Excalibur.... It\'s pretty cool, did you see the Tournament Of Knights? It\'s a kick ass show, if you haven\'t seen it, see it! It\'s fun, you get good food, what more do you need?

Hard Rock Cafe.... You should stop by at least and check it out, may I remind you it\'s across the street from Club Paradise.... which yes is a strip joint... Maybe you can peek through the windows! :D

Rio....... One of my favorite casinoes.. They got a kickass buffet! It is awesome, the food isn\'t like your cafeteria lunch either.. They actually have professional chefs! One stand this japanese dude was doing keriyaki (spelling? word?) . Also I think every hour they have the masquerade show where sexy women in costumes dance around and throw necklaces at you.

But why stick with the strip? Check out Lake Mead and the Valley of Fire cuz\' they are pretty cool too....

Or you can just simply hang out with me and my friends and play videogames and eat doritoes! :D

BTW, Linkin Park is here in less than a week! Woohoo!

Orange County/Disneyland = cool
Hollywood = gay

Man you either need to grow up or get out more. Let me get an impartial opinon from others:

1. Hollywood has strip clubs, hookers, crack dealers, guitar stores, and movie theaters.

2. Orange County has Mickey Mouse and immigrant hating conservative white people.

Everybody now... WHICH ONE IS GAY???

I thought so.

Oh yeah I forgot, Australia is upside down, so that would explain it.

When I said Hollywood was gay, I meant there are lots of gay people there. Is it called West Hollywood? All I know was that I was getting way too many looks from blokes around that area that I didnt get at Orange County.

By the way, LA is a pretty laid back kinda city. I mean, downtown LA is nothing compared to downtown Sydney. Maybe I was just expecting something different, but LA is nothing like New York or Chicago.

Anyways, are there any gaming attractions in Las Vegas?

Why in the hell did you go to West Hollywood? I live in LA, and I don\'t go there. West Hollywood and Hollywood are two different things. Hollywood is cool, and West Hollywood is something else; I\'ll leave it at that. Just don\'t go any further west than La Cienega, and you\'ll be fine.

Also - don\'t waste your time downtown. I know all the foreign tourists always assume that the center of everything in a city is always in the zentrum - "downtown," but this is not true in LA. The only thing downtown LA is good for is the Museum of Contemporary Art, the LA Public Library, and buying crack On The Nickel. Stay away from downtown, and definitely don\'t stay in a hotel downtown. Read a decent travel guide.

He\'s a rather misguided youth and I told him there was nothing out there but old farts. He needs to move back in with his mom hopefully. I just can\'t see him going out there.

Dude, I have been to Las Vegas before. I loved it.

You have never obviously been to Kings Cross in Sydney have you. If you go there and don\'t get raped, murdered, butt plugged or knifed, then I wanna know what your doing right.
