Yeah, I had the same problem when I got my PS2. Unfortunately I had to buy an off-brand type memory card, which I\'ve heard... well some of them anyways... can be harmful to your PS2 and possibly not record the saves or something. I think that\'s only with memory cards that have more room on them. Can they even do that with PS2 memory cards?

I can\'t find a memory card anywhere, not even the third party ones. I think Amazon has \'em though, if you are desperate.

No problems here in Georgia. . . see:

Yep, mine came with the package I got. 8MB is really actually too much, I have 2/3 space left. Only thing on it is FFX, Madden 2002, MGS2.... Stupid small games like the Bouncer I just delete. Hopefully I\'ll never need a second one.

I\'ve never had any trouble finding memory cards for the PS2 either...emperorrob, you should get one online from EB Games or somewhere. I will personally never buy another brand of memory card other than Sony again...had an off-brand "mega" memory card for the PSX that had like 8 memory cards stacked on it. It was all good, until...IT LOST MY FREAKIN\' FF7 SAVES!!! I was well into the game too...I think it was 65-70 hours or so. I was so pissed, I never went back and finished that game. The card also lost everything else, but this was the only crucial one. Never again, though...I\'ll be Sony\'s freakin\' PR man for their memory cards...they haven\'t messed up on me yet.

I have seen plenty of them here in holland

Yup, check my "Sony\'s slowdown in production" thread.

I haven\'t encountered any problems in this department. And even if I did, it wouldn\'t worry me because my Sister(well both of them actually) works at Argos, and all I have to do is ask either of them to put one aside for me as soon as anew batch comes in and they will do it.
It also has it\'s avantages in other ways too, for you see they both get a 10% staff discount on anything they buy. It\'s because of this, I managed to get MY PS2 for £30 less than the catalogue price. And considering that she has got me a Hi-Fi system with Minidisc and CD, a personal Minidisc player, a TV and a video recorder and various other items (including the PS2), on HER/THIER staff discounts, I\'m a few bob up, which naturally comes in handy for a heavy drinking session or two.
