They look like a cinema??? I can\'t wait to see what the Fatalities look like.:D
-
Yeah, I don\'t think they\'re in-game shots... but the graphics should be good if developers want to rebirth the saga ;)
-
You can see there not in game, and gamespot suck too now, I cant download the vid, they make you pay now aswell.
-
Gamespot sucks in footage. The pics are a real shhit in every preview or review... and now you\'ve to pay to download a movie... come on!
-
Im tired of the MK series, lets see another Smauri Showdown.
-
the models are ingame since they look blocky in certain areas, the lighting although overdone is ingame and not tray traced like in reders. The only thing that looks odd are the backgrounds which look like they use bump mapping (check floor)
The movie is aweasome, I love how scorpoin grap that camera with his spear! and does the "GET OVER HERE!!" move :D
since when does scorpion use fireballs?
-
I tried watching it through steam but coz my connection is a BAD 56k, It was so jerky, it was like watching a really bad slidshow. Does anyone pay gamespot to dload vids, if so is there anyone that is going to dload it and upload, coz i really wanna see it. Get over here , I never get tired of hearing that, I hope this brings the MK series back.

i have to agree with PSX_J on this one. i think we have played more than enough MK games.

Yea, I personally believe they shoulda quit after the third installment in the MK series, but thats just me. Tekken and VF will problly follow the same long path, just as long as they dont start sucking that\'ll be a great deal.
-
Well VF4 looks amazing ( tsk, yes I have it on pre order ) , I know the last couple MK\'s sucked but this one could be fuc*ing amazing. So lets not right it of before we\'ve played it. I for one have not played enough MK. Ah the finishing moves. Best finisher ever = MK1 Sub Zero\'s rip of there head trick.
-
Yea, the fatalities used to be the only major reason I played the game, I\'ve always thought they were really cool. I guess ur right though, gotta wait and see what the games is like.
-
Hey thanks for the info Metal Gear Ray. Yeah the pics look
like ingame renders. THere is raytracing indeed ; look at
Scorpions legs reflections !
The models body look bulkier than in other fighting games.
they look kinda cartoonized.
I hope this won\'t affect gameplay in a WWF kinda way.

Those pics are from the Xbox version.
-
Yeah, but the same pics are posted in the ps2 section so Im guessing both versions are pretty much the same.
-
argh crap.. me wanna download. but my stoopid telstra advanced pffft yea right.. won\'t allow me to download anymore then 3 gig.. i\'ve only got around 200meg left for the month. sigh.
I hate telstra.

This is from http://www.mk5.org/
Completely redesigned multiple-move-set fighting system. Each character will have several "move-sets" that players can selectively change during a match.
Extremely realistic fighting effects. Ripped clothing, bruises, sweat dripping, blood dripping and running down bodies
New and old favorite characters. Scorpion, Subzero, Raiden, Jax, Sonya, Reptile, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi and more. Plus new characters to be announced.
Special Attacks. Each character will have several special attacks to utilize during battles.
Full 3-D Movement!
That move set thing sounds pretty interesting.

This game looks really sweet.. I hope that the graphics look this good, and I hope that it\'s gameplay is swell...
A lot to expect from this game.... Hope they come true. They betta!:D Otherwise it\'ll be another ""
-
Here are some non-streaming versions of that movie! Enjoy.
http://www.mk5.org/content/mk5/media/mkda_teaser_100.asf (Medium quality - 1.14 MB)
http://www.mk5.org/content/mk5/media/mkda_teaser_300.asf (high quality - 2.27 MB)
It looks like Scorpian can now shoot a fireball! The pictures don\'t do this game justice. I can\'t wait for some actual in-fight movies.

I can see part 5 living up to the MK legacy set by the first two in the series. It\'ll have a lot of competition this year (T4, VF4, SC2), so I can\'t imagine that Midway would take the development of the game lightly.
Platform fighting, better weapons system, less emphasis on humor, enhanced 3D movement... That\'s a formula for success if you ask me.
BTW, anyone know if the rumors concerning the tag options and the team fatalaties have been confirmed? I haven\'t been keeping up with MK5 news, and the last I heard Midway never revealed whether or not the features would make it into the game.

I dont think anything can surpass the classic Mortal Kombat 2 on Mega Drive.
That was a classic.
FATALITY!!!
