Why couldn\'t you have asked this question 6 months from now? :( I\'m going to replace my car this year, and I\'m considering either the Acura RSX-S, Subaru Impreza WRX, or Honda S 2000.
For now I\'m still driving my tired old 95 Saturn SL1. I made the following pic to use as a sig on some other forums, but I was too embarrased to use it. Please share your sympathies!

dude, a car is a car, be grateful for what you have, saturn is still a good car, i heard that they have great customer service. as for your choices for your next car, you have great taste. in a year i might be trading in my civic for an RSX, those are pretty nice, but if you are looking for a fast car, get the WRX, turbo with AWD, great combo. the RSX is the slowest of the bunch, but its still a great car with good aftermarket support. S2000 wouldn\'t be on my list, looks nice, but smaller interior room then the others, hardly any torque(i think its less than 150!), and its expensive, $32+. instead of the S2000, i would put the new 2003 Nissan 350Z on my list, 260hp+, 260lbs torque+, RWD, great car(well at least sounds like it). sorry for the long post, i\'ll shaddup now :)

I didn\'t mean to imply that the Saturn was a bad car. It\'s been extremely reliable for me, and had very low maintenance costs. The Saturn sales AND service staff at the dealer I use are both top notch. By comparison I\'ve heard stories about Honda service that make my stomache uneasy.
I\'m just getting so tired of this car. Seven years in the same car is too much I tell you! Maybe there are some sweet cars and instant classics that auto enthusiasts would love to own for a lifetime, but the Saturn SL1 is not one of them. Anyone want to buy mine? Excellent mechanical condition, and only 58k miles. $2,500 OBO.
I agree with your statements about the RSX and WRX. The RSX is at the bottom of my list presently, and it\'s very unlikely that I\'ll buy one of those. I don\'t want another FWD car.
I have to take issue with your complaint about the S 2000 though. Someone on the S2ki forum said once that people always mention the S2000\'s lack of torque, basically because there is nothing else they can think of to criticize. And then, most people who say that have never driven one! Neither have I; but I will drive one before buying it. Owners have stated over and over that the torque "problem" is a non issue. There is more than enough power even at lower rpms. Read here: http://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48488
The 350Z is an awesome automobile, no doubt. However when configured with a moderate option package, and considering the inevitable dealer markups on a first year model, it\'s going to cost significantly more than a new S 2000. And it\'s not a roadster. I have to say that the S 2000 elicits an emotional response in me that cannot be quantified, and none of the other cars mentioned here do the same. I need to consider that along with the other factors. :D

well its not that the S2000 is torqueless or anything like, i meant that it can benefit from more torque, but i saw some stats on the car and the 0-60 and 1/4 mile, and it looks good, and you\'re right about the 350Z, since its a first year car, with decent options and possible dealer mark up, it will be more than the S2000.
the S2000 wouldn\'t be on my list as a main vehicle cause it isn\'t that practical, i sat in one and the quality was great, pretty roomy too, just not practical. but i also hear you on the RSX and the FWD, damn torque steer(although i dont have that problem on my civic). my favorite thing about the S2000 is its high revving engine, 9000rpm, sounds damn good. anywho, whatever you choose, keep us posted :)

I posted mine back in october..........it is a 2002 Chevy Prizm LS.

It was my dad\'s ex car before he bought a Benz and since then, it\'s been mine (given as a handdown, I just pay car insurance). This car was bought used, it had 25k miles on it bought, and within 4 years, my dad worked it up driving back and fourth to work, and it finished at 80k miles. It\'s fire engine red, leather seating, CD player, and the 3.5 liter engine (the optional 214HP engine). The little SOB accelerates nicely, and does wonderful gas milege.
:D :D :D :D

I drive my dad\'s \'02 Passat. I don\'t have the money to get my own car really.
It\'s Dark Blue, and it\'s really a good car compared to most others I\'ve driven.
-
\'00 Honda Civic SE, metallic green.
I\'ve been quite happy with my honda\'s performance, and the service I get from them. Though they need to get their warantees up to par by next year, or they\'re gonna suffer.

Heh I\'ve posted this before, and so I\'ll do it again.

I drive an \'88 Mercury Sable, it looks like this, but we have to make a few changes to make it look like mine.
Make it tan, then chip off some of the paint.
Remove the front bumper. . . with a sledge hammer, and replace it with my home-made $23 "studded rubber" bumper. Then pop out some of the rivets.
Put a fist-sized hole in the back bumper, right side.
Stick a few modest dents here-and-there.
Remove the inner door handle from the back passenger side.
Remove the fabric on the roof.
Remove the temperature dial of the air conditioner.
Replace the radio with one that turns itself off whenever you hit a speed bump.
And tada! It\'s my car!
-
I\'m taking my permit test either tommorrow or on Friday. When I get my license, I\'m gonna get my sister\'s current car which is a 97 Honda Civic HX. It has new red and white tail lights and it\'s lowered. It looks good, and that\'s all I ask for. If I got some of the termonology wrong, sue me, I don\'t really know much about cars.
-
I gotta upload some pix..Ill post em later on or 2morrow.

1996 Lexus ES300...
Very nice car, but very hard to find aftermarket performance parts... Working on getting myself 18 inch Tenzo Shu rims..
-
What do I drive? Oh that\'s an easy one. I bet if what we both respectively drove got into an accident, I would always be the winner. Without further ado, here it is:
First, I drive this:
Then it\'s onto this:

Admit it, I 0wn you all. :)
-
hey!
that 2nd picture is copyrighted!
you in big trouble mister!
-
I got a 2001 Protoge. It\'s lowered down has clear tail lights, tinted windows, 18 inch wheels, blue neon light under car, loud stereo system. That\'s it. Nothing for speed... In other words, it\'s a rice boy car.
I don\'t like it.. I didn\'t choose to add the mods, my cousin did it because it\'s his hobby.
In the future, I plan to give the car to him and get a Lancer EVO 7. I stopped buying VG\'s just to saveup. :p
-
In the winter I drive a 2000 Chevy pickup, in the summer I drive either my \'71 Stingray, or my 91 Camaro Z28.
-
I have to drive my dad\'s 96\' Escort lx. Not bad for a little pos. What I am saving up for is a 71\' Mustang Boss w/ a 429. That or a dude i know may give me his old El Camino w/ a 402. That is a fast little car too. But i would rather my Boss. But they are kinda rare so........who knows.
