Does anybody think this car is beautiful? Because if you dont...you need help!:D This is one of the most beautiful sedans out there. Probably a WRX killer!!! Btw does anybody know when this car is going to come out in the states and how much it will cost?

This won\'t stand a change once the Subaru Impreza WRX STi gets here from over-seas. That should be about a year or two.

This is the Evolution VII we\'re talking about here, 280 horses on this baby!:D The STi is gonna be real nice but its gonna be real hard to top the Evolution!!!

I don\'t think it will have 280 horses when it gets here (USA), due to the front inter-cooler problem...anyways, Evo 7 all the way!
as for the STi, they understeer a little more than the Evo 7 (I heard from people that have driven both). With all the respect though, the outcome of Evo Vs. Sti will mainly depend on the driver.
P.S. The Evo and the STi will come over, but don\'t know when as of yet. All we know for certain is that it will be above 250HP, below 30k.

Hmmmmm if I had the cash and they were both similar performers, I\'d go for the STi because it looks better (to me) and its boxer engine most likely makes it handle better.

You would really be surprised at the number of functional wings there are out there. My buddy for instance, you would probably laff at him since he has a rather large wing on his neon. Only problem is, his car is capable of 10sec et\'s and is driven on the street. BTW..his wing IS actually functional
**EDIT** you were close on the speed thing...some neons are limited to 118...others 130. speedlimiters suck :(

Other than adding weight, I\'m not very sure.
Placing a rear wing in a front wheel drive car is just like making your muffler tip hole as big as a CD. Useless and ugly.

Honestly, I cant answer the question scientifically, but I have seen the testing and they can work. Mainly for air flow from what i understand, rather than down force.

i kinda like the large spoilers, but too big just looks kinda stupid. but i really don\'t know why you would put it on for performance reasons, except it could hold down the rear at high speeds, while taking corners.
does anyone at all know the Evo release date for the US?

Sorry bub....that wing is there for a reason. It\'s to prevent lift...yes, it\'s gotta be that high in order to be useful. Unlike those 4 inch high wings you see on Accords, those are purely cosmetics. The Impreza wings and Lancer wings were made to prevent lift at high speeds on long sweeps...though they don\'t create down force(except on the Impreza 22B).

That\'s true with the Porsche and Audi TT because of its airfoil shape. The air follows the contour of the car\'s top all the way to the rear. So a small wing lip works. Before the wing lip was added to the Audi TT, they used to get into a catastrophic over steer at highway speeds when the driver would down shift and switch lanes. With the wind already lifting the rear end of the car, the reduction in speed made the weight transfer to the front caused the rear end to swing out(again, the lift from the air flow)
But unlike the Lancer and Impreza, the boxy shape of the top of the car caused the designers to make the rear wing higher.
And there you have it.

Wings on accords are ugly. But the big wings on civic\'s like "Terminators" are pretty nice, or like the wings on the fast and the furious...those were nice too!

Street cars, yes, very true. But I was talking with a drag racing buddy of mine and he explained it to me.
They put so much weight up front that it ends up being about 75% of the total weight. Very uneven distribution. They then put big ass tires up front and tiny ones in the back. They need the downforce in the back to keep the ass in from squirrling out.
But I repeat, on a street car it does nothing!!!!!
