A slew of PS2 titles picked up awards at the first D.I.C.E. Summit (Design, Innovate, Create, and Entertain) held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The awards were spread fairly across all the major consoles with Microsoft\'s XBox title Halo winning Console Game of the Year. Here\'s a rundown of the PS2 winners:

From what I played of HALO (only about two hours), I can say that if it was that cool throughout it deserved game of the year. Nice to see MGS2, GT3, and GTA3 do so well though.

The fact that they consider Baldur\'s Gate a roleplaying game invalidates their opinion anyway :)

Wow, I am surprised GTA did that well. Don\'t get me wrong it is a great game I love playing it. Isn\'t also being discussed as a ban?

RPG style Stats
an RPG Plot
based on a well known Role playing game
it Truely Classed as a RPG.
yeah your right its a First person Shooter ;).
