Seeing is believing.

One of the coolest pieces of equipment that we have in space is the Hubble telescope. I have said in other threads that we need to spend more money on our futures as human beings and less on trying to figure out how we got here. This is one of the things that will help us in building a future.

I don\'t want to sound pessimistic. But what good would the studies be if our demise as humanity is inevitable? How long do you think humanity will survive?

You got a point Bonez, but I would rather progress into the future despite our "demise" rather than focus on how I got to this point. It just happens to be more important to me to see where we as humans can go with technology. I think that the future holds such awesome potential. We should not let it just pass us buy as we continue to look behind us.

Maybe it\'s that we need to study the before life to continue with progression into the future. To see how things evolve and work in relation to "future needs".

Or maybe we just find it easier to make up chit and find more chit to back it up rather than going to great lengths in exploring the outerspace or the depths of the sea for that matter. I say that man has got to think outside of the box and get off his a$$. I know that knowing the past will help in our future, but sometimes the money that is spent on theory is a bit much for me to comprehend.

That picture is quite cool. I\'m all for all of this space exploration. Observing other star systems and stuff. It\'s good to know a little about our neighboring stars. Better helps explain the formation of our galaxy, the solar system and so on.
