Long rumored for Gamecube, Capcom officially confirms Capcom vs SNK 2 for Gamecube.
Last year Capcom released Capcom vs SNK 2 for Dreamcast and PS2, and there were some wild internet rumors of Capcom vs SNK 3 for Gamecube (and other systems) sparked by the preorder for it on some retailer website. While that did not turn out to be true, Capcom of Japan now officially lists Capcom vs SNK 2 for Gamecube on their release calendar. No date has been given.
Hooray.. more Capcom love for \'Cube. You can probably bet on CVS2 coming to \'Box too.

BUWHAHAHAAH. 2D fighters on that horrible... HORRIBLE D-pad?! *Sigh* I\'ll keep my PS2 version thank you.

True enough Ryu, it took my thumb a few days to toughen up to abuse from SSX Tricky and that\'s only half d-pad.
Then again, Capcom (or someone, but I think it\'s Capcom) has long been rumored to be making its own controller. I\'m sure you could imagine the benefits.

Capcom doesn\'t make controllers, they invest in others to make pads for them licensed by them. Example: the Japanese controller designed by ASCII, licensed by capcom specifically for the capcom vs snk 2 for the PS2. The problem is is that people wont be willing to shell out 30 bucks for a controler to be primarily used for one game. If many games supported the controller at once, then I can see the market. As is however, I don\'t see the demand. I bought the PS2 version of the controller simply because I\'m a Street Fighter freak, not many people are willing to part with their money for that reason however, especially the target audience which is depending upon parents that Nintendo loves to appeal to.

That\'s unfortunate, but I see that, too... Oh well, those people can have fun bandaging their thumbs, hehe.
