Title: Burner Software...

My main HDD just crashed.  I was able to add another HHD onto my PC, and eventually slavage SOME programs and files from the old one.  Sadly the software "Easy CD Creator", was not recoverable.  I\'ve been searching the net for it, or something close to it.  I don\'t have the money to buy aa $60 replacement, I just need some freeware.  I was put onto "NERO", but I haven\'t been able to succesfully d/l it.  So please can any of YOU HELP ME?

Thanks a lot, this file must be pretty popular because its BARELY coming through, maybe Ill have better speeds tonite.

Is there anything I can do to make this file thru faster, I have a decent 56k connection.

Download accelerator (found at download.com) might work, but I doubt it though for a 56k.  However, the biggest way to improve download speeds is to get broadband.  Sorry I can\'t help anymore.

download accelerator works for all connections.  Let me put it this way, I used to download stuff with IE and the connection rate would always start at about 210k/sec, then drop off to about 100k/sec.  With DA, it holds at about 190k/sec.  90k/sec difference, I say that\'s good. :)

I have 56k and i use download accelerator plus.

same results as ryu but on a much smaller scale.

my d/l went from about 4k per second to 5 or sometimes 6.

it doesnt seem like much but in 56k land that one extra k means alot!

I know what you mean Luke, I had 56k for years, it was a pain in the a$$ to download music, this broadband is pretty gud now tho!!
