This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a
portion of National Public Radio (NPR) interview between
a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald
who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop
visiting his military installation.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you
going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?
GENERAL REINWALD: We\'re going to teach them
climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That\'s a bit
irresponsible, isn\'t it?
GENERAL REINWALD: I don\'t see why, they\'ll be properly
supervised on the rifle range.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don\'t you admit that this is a terribly
dangerous activity to be teaching children?
GENERAL REINWALD: I don\'t see how. We will be teaching them
proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you\'re equipping them
to become violent killers.
GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you\'re equipped to be a
prostitute, but you\'re not one, are you?

This is fiction. No such interview ever took place, according to NPR. Additionally, there are other versions of the rumor that seem to have originated in Great Britain.

well thank you Mr. Partypooper.
-
When someone calls NPR "Nazi Propaganda Radio," of course I\'m gonna expose the BS. Why shouldn\'t I?

Heh, you really think I thought this was real? I bet you are going to tell me the priest didn\'t really go into the bar with the duck under one arm.

I knew it wasn\'t real, that\'s why I looked it up. Apparently Cygnus thought it was real though.

I thought it was real till u had to ruin all the fun. What can I say, Im a goulable person.

I never take anything I read on the internet as real. I always assume it\'s some whackjob like myself at his computer making the crap up. Then at least I can be right 75% of the time.

I heard this months ago Core, and regardless of it\'s authenticity it is absolutely within the realm of NPR\'s mantra. So...:p
