Welp,
Yeah, I recently got to check out one of Sega\'s newest games. And to say the least, I was impressed, both graphically and gameplay wise. Even though I only played it briefly, I enjoyed every minute of it. Its pretty damn awesome, but I\'ll away judgement on the controls until I get to play it some more. The controls take ages to get used to IMO. Graphically the game is nice, nice textures, shadows. But, has anyone else gotten a chance to play it?? If so, what did you think?
Edit: I know this is lame to post this, but Im just trying to see who all has witnessed it, or had some hands on time with it

I have seen the game in motion and it\'s amazing to say the least...
I haven\'t played it myself, but have read around 5 reviews and they all seem to point at the control as a major flaw. The game is said to be frustrating to the point the game seems more like a chore than fun to play...
I\'ll wait to judge it for myself...but were the controls a "turn-off" to you at first? Did you overcome them and enjoy the game?
I\'m jealous, where did you play it?
-
Indeed, where did you play it?
It was my understanding that they altered the controls to match Halo\'s because of all the bad press. Either way, I don\'t think it\'ll be a good game, I don\'t think even mighty Sega can pull this one off. It\'s been in development too long and had too many delays.

Kmart got an updated demo disk, and it happened to have GV on it, and me, being a Sega nut, I gave it a go. I was impressed greatly with it. Can\'t wait to play it some more.
Edit: The controls were not a problem at all when I picked it up. It took me about 2 minutes to figure them out, but Thats how long it took me to get used to Halo\'s controls. But the controls IMO are just fine the way they are. Its a fun game though.

Might you be keeping your Xbox for the game?
One more question for you...is the game fast paced. I read some one else\'s impressions and they said it was a bit dull...
From what I have seen, the action is pretty thorough...

The level thats included in the demo, is dull to say the least, It took me about 10 minutes to figure out that I had to use the rocketpack to get to the upper level. Its not very fast paced in the level I\'ve been playing in the demo. Im still selling my Xbox though, I need money. But, Im glad I got some hands on time with the game. I liked every bit I played of it, even though it is a bit dull, its still worth a rent when it comes out, or of you are a sega nut, you can buy it. The action, is somewhat in the vain of a platformer. hence EGM\'s calling it a "platform action game". That about sums it up too. Nothing much more I can say, but, I\'ll try to get a bit more playtime in. But, so far, Im liking what Im playing, and thats saying alot.

Ya\' know, I\'m convinced Sega is loosing its touch. I mean, Jet Set Radio: Future was a huge dissapointment in every factor, in my humble opinion. Now I tried GV and I have to say I walked away bored. I may buy it and give it more time, but from what I\'ve seen lately (CT3, JSRF and now GV) Sega seems to be just dumbing games down so they can appeal to the casual gamer. I guess that could explain the reason they have been maing more money than every.

Well, I can\'t say im fill with joy over GV, but I liked it, it was intresting to say the least. Sega isn\'t doing much for us hardcore Sega fanatics anymore:( Hope they shape up.

Honestly, I think SEGA should do whatever it is they have to do to get out of their financial trouble. Once they accomplish that, they can go back to pleasing us hardcore fans. :)
I am enjoying JSRF though, even if it is streamlined to hell and back. Heck, it\'s not like the first Jet Set was hard.
