...Person to see The Lord of the Rings. I have no idea why I didn\'t see this movie sooner...
(oh yeah, the movie theatre by my house is real ghetto.= 300 black kids yelling at the movie screen...+ fights afterward...)
anyhoo, I loved it. It was still showing in the "big" theatre in the complex.(stadium seating, THX, DTS= loud). AND, my GF & I were the only ones in the theatre.
So, that\'s it...my interest in fantasy fiction is officially piqued again. I am going to buy Everquest after work. Tell my GF I love her, feed my cats, and maybe slip a pizza under my computer room door every now and then. Call the nerd patrol if you don\'t hear from me for a while.
Oh wait, I still have to finish Drakan, The Ancient\'s Gates. (better than I thought it would be...)

but yes everquest is a bad thing - thats why im getting it on my pc at work - bwhahaha i will rule all now and get paid for it lol

Well, what\'s the gameplay like? and what\'s involved with getting started?

hmmm the gameplay is pretty deep at times but there really isnt deep in the sense of fighting - but there are so many ways to interact with the world and characters that makes it deep
fighting though can be repetitive if you solo and thats why grouping is reccomended once you hit around lvl 8-10 if you are a tank/melee class
if you are a caster then its hard to solo at first - least i found it was
anyway in the game there are several different races each with their own advantages and disadvantages - you may also pick different class

and setting it up you need a credit card and the first month is usually free and then 10 bucks a month after that

Damn I have not even beaten FFX yet, been 3 weeks since I last played cause I have been so damn busy..

10 bucks is a lot for one game. They need to give me the game for free for that much money. That\'s why I like Blizzard games.
By the way Warcraft III is pretty sweet.

you can play the game on 56k
i would suggest having a good amount of ram though to help with zoning
but yea the minimum requirement for that is 28.8k modem and my friend use to play with 56k all the time

how much ram? I have a crappy 166mhz computer... think it would work on it?:D

I use to play on a Pentium 133 with 56k. Diablo I that is. It ran just fine.

direct3d or glide complianty vid card with 8 mb
direct 8 compliant sound card
2x cd rom
hdd space 600+
recommended specs are
pentium 2 350mhz
128 ram
16mb vid card

why nout just do slight upgrades to your pc - those are some very very low specs to have and it a upgrade would be very very cheap and easy

you can check http://www.pricewatch.com
or you can go to a local computer store and check how much they cost to upgrade and install or check their parts prices
i really wouldnt recommend doing the upgrades yourself unless you have some experience
anyway id almost say just go get a new pc since they are so cheap now adays now that i think about it
you can get a quality pc for like 700 bucks now
