Title: Baldour\'s Gate:Dark Alliance.
Post by: cloud345 on March 25, 2002, 03:42:25 PM
A just finished this game. I think it was overall a great game.

Graphics-8.5
Gameplay-8
Story-8.5
Overall-8.5

It had good graphics, great gameplay a good story. It was a little short and easy. Most of the bosses I beat in 1 try.

I used the Dwarf he was good. My weapon at the end was the Onyx Sword. it was something like 40-120. My armor had 35 defense boots 12 helmat 15 gloves 12.

Overrated in the gameplay department in single player mode. Co-Op is much better I hear, but thats not an option for me

extrememly linear

Overhead limited control camera angle hell

extremely lame Boss battles

and not well balanced gameplay

it was a B game I\'d give it an 8.0 overall

Drakan: The Ancient Gates was a better game to represent the Action Adventure RPG genre, I highly recommend you play it

I thought it was pretty good, until I played Drakan and said "Now this is what I was looking for"

But BG: DA had it\'s moments.

My Favorite was being able to play as the imfamous Rengade Drow Ranger Drizzt Do\'Urden.

What other game gives you that as an option?

Later

That was my reason for enjoying the PS2 version of BGDA. Less reading and more hack and slash. I know it was another run of the mill “Diablo” clone, but it was fun to play with or without a friend.

BG pc is lame, its like the characters dont match the backgrounds, kinda hard to explain but seriously annoying + it has some of the choppiest animation ever
