Title: Milton Berle and Dudley Moore
Post by: videoholic on March 27, 2002, 05:21:52 PM
Wow.  Both died today.  Sad day.

It was so sad seeing Dudley with his condition.  He died apparently from complications from Pneumonia.  Milton Berle too.  But he lived a rich full life.

But then again, many people died today, so who cares???
They are just rich entertainers, right?

Exactly. Dudley Moore wasn\'t that great of an actor though IMO.

Why do gay men like Liza Minelli so much?

I thought Dudley played a good drunk. Reminds of some of the friends I have here. The movie Ten was good, but that was due to Bo Derek (and I’m not talking about her acting).:D

Oh my, if you guys haven\'t seen Arthur you must go rent it.  Probably one of the greatest one liner movies in existence.  The thing never stops.  Great flick.

Yeah, “Arthur” was a good movie. Lots of funny Chit! But “Ten” gets my vote for eye candy bud.;)

When I was a kid, seeing "10" was like the holy grail for young boys.  I remember a friend of mine who\'s parents were wealthy had one of the earliest consumer videocassette recorders, an old Sony Betamax.  He also had HBO, and he was able to record "10" with their new gadget.  We watched it over and over and over... well parts of it anyway.  :D   Back then I didn\'t care about Dudley Moore, but he was damn funny.

Milton Berle was the true genius.  I got the film "It\'s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" on DVD recently, and Berle is really marvelous in that picture.  In the documentary on disk 2, the stars exhange insults with each other.  Some of that stuff is awesome.  Berle says about Sid Caesar:

"On the day he was born there was a star in the east...

... it was me."

Milton Burle??  Interesting.  He is an Icon in american entertainment history.  The guy is huge.  Not really for my generation and younger, but he is rich in history in the entertainment field for people 35+.
