Title: Shenmue 2 Help
Post by: Saotome on March 27, 2002, 05:43:02 PM
I just got back from Europe where I purchased Shenmue 2. I just need to ask a few questions on getting myself set up for the game to work with my North American Dreamcast (Altered Beast still around?).

(1) Which is better, the DC-X Importer disk (being sold at EB Games.com) or the DC Gameshark? The Gameshark is more expensive, but I want to know if both work fine with the game.

(2) Do I have to buy a DC VGA Box to play the game or will it play normally on my regular television set?

(3) Will the PAL version of Shenmue 2 save on my American VMU?

That\'s all.

i had to find some way to play my beloved shenmue 2
i was looking at over a year to wait and play it on the port-box

i made NO modifications to the console itself, so i see no problem with it to play one import

Yes, mm...

Shenmue 2 = Best Game Ever...

I use the DC-X and it works perfectly.

No, it doesn\'t matter what country your DC comes from. Sega, being the gods they are, have made Shenmue compatible with PAL and NTSC. It\'ll automatically adjust to your console.

Do believe mm made no modifications to his system, cause the last thing mm would do is soder through 3 ben franklins.

Hmph...

You think he knows Shenmue better than me?

I\'ll bet he pronounces it as "Shen - Mew" as in rhyming with "Shen- New".
