Unreal 2003. Makes me wonder how intensive wise Doom 3 or Quake 4 is gonna be.

Post by: Watchdog on March 28, 2002, 08:11:34 PM: eh, they know me by now. The painful logic of it will insult them and they\'ll bash the xbox with the same old arguments, but the fact of the matter is it doesn\'t make sense to make the purchase now.

Get the game for xbox and in two-three years when PCs can really push beyond the xbox\'s capabilities, buy the GF4 then (it\'ll be under $100) and you\'ll have both. PCs only offer RTS and FPS anyway.

I bought the xbox so I wouldn\'t have to upgrade (again). Now I have PS2 and xbox and haven\'t even bothered with PC games since (although I will in the aformentioned 2-3 years).

With a mind open just a crack, it shouldn\'t be tough to see the merits of this.

ha ha ha thats a good one

HALO on the Box (god awful 30 FPS)

Unreal 2003 on the G FORCE 4 (well over a constant 60 FPS) = Eats the X BOUX for Breakfast !

Plus Unreal 2003 will have online Gaming unlike the Lunch loseing

yeah, I remember I saw as many as mechanical objects in
MGS2 as in 1st pic... talk about bottlenecks.

Ahhhh, yes... But "investment" doesn\'t mean "monatary compensation" just means you put something in, and get something in return, not necessarily money... in this case... Better graphics is what u get.

Im going to wait before I get a new GF card.. I dont see any PC games right now taking advantage of the GF3.

its about raw speed

i can run any game at 1280x1024 at 32bit color, 2x FSAA and NOT fall below 60 FPS at ANY time. i hover at 120 fps which is my monitors max refresh rate at that rez

If you put it like that.
Well I never play games over 1024x768 anyways (dont think my monitor likes resolutions above that).. But extra FPS are always nice. (60fps and over dun really matter to me)

I think Ill keep my GF2 abit longer though.
GF5 is coming out soon, right? :nerd:

Then GF3 will be cheaper :) (Im a greedy SOB)
