Title: How many controllers?

I have a really noob question

How many controllers can you actually plug into the playstation2?

Is the maximum two or four?

I\'m sorry for asking this stupid question but I couldn\'t find this information anywhere.

Two Standard Controllers. With a Multitap you can hook up four of em. It\'s also possible for specially made controllers to plug into the USB ports, but I haven\'t seen any USB DualShock2\'s yet.

well the most you can do is 8, as in 2 multitas...not many games can do 8 players....but pro evoulution soccer can!!!!, though ive onlyplayed it 3 player, but i must say it really rocked

In the UK its £30, so I\'m guessin around $40 in the US. You can buy them pretty much anywhere that deals in PS2 stuff. Kopking, I\'ve played 5 player Pro Evo, and it aint as good as it sounds. Anymore than 2 on a team and you hardly touch the ball!

Usually the Multitap is the same price as a standard controller.  Be for-warned, for PS1 games you must use a PS1 multi-tap, for PS2 games you must use a PS2 multi-tap.

dont you think that developers should support some usb game pads so you dont have to buy that stupid multi-tap

But with the multi-tap youi can house more memory cards as well.  So that when each person has their own stats on their own mem card, they don\'t have to transfer it to a single card, but plug in each card for each controller.
