Rent it. It\'s about the surprise attack. Not a damn romance movie with the surprise attack as a background story!
The nerve of that director to try and mix Titanic with Pearl Harbor!

I am now amazed!!!!!
I now know another soul out there that loves this movie…that is of the younger generation of course.
I will double the notion that Tora Tora Tora is better that Pearl Harbor. And Midway rocks too. Rent that one as well.
:D

Just trying to pay you a compliment friend. Besides, your posts don’t sound a day over twenty-five.:D

There are only 2 good scenes in Pearl Harbor:
1. the actual attack
2. Tokyo raid
I laughed my way through PH for the most part. Horrible. Saving Pvt. Ryan is still the best WW2 movie.

Actually Das Boot is the best WW2 movie, Pvt.Ryan is the 2nd and Enemy at the Gates is my 3rd favourite. I just love the sniper scenes in that movie :)

I take it not many of you have actually seen Kelly\'s Heroes...or Midway for that matter.

You\'re preaching to the choir there. The Dirty Dozen & Where Eagles Dare are up there on my list too.

Damn man, Where Eagles Dare is one of my all time favorites. It\'s one the few movies that I acutally forced myself to buy on VHS. If that\'s ever released on DVD, I\'m going watch it about 10 times consecutively. That movie simply kicks a$$ plain and simple. Even the other Alistair MacLean movies do not come close, and most of those are awesome too. Wait, I take that back... I can\'t wait to get Ice Station Zebra on DVD either... URRrrrrgghh those movies are so great.
BTW, Tora Tora Tora is not an outstanding movie, but it has lots of good memories for me. I was deeply into those wacky 70\'s WWII movies when I was a kid. Midway, A Bridge Too Far, The Eagle Has Landed, The Big Red One, etc etc. They don\'t make em like that anymore.
Clint Eastwood as Lt. Schaffer: "Major, if I live to be a hundred..."

I\'m sure those who are over 25 have likely seen them.

<-- 19 I still love a good classic.

No matter the age, a movie made great years ago will still be recognized as a classic. I\'m 27 and I love the old war movies. They are the flicks I was raised on.;)

That\'s as true a statement as I\'ve ever heard.
If any of you guys dig the D-Day movies, check out The Longest Day if you haven\'t already seen it.
