PopupStopper Pro works great for getting rid of pop-ups. They can be enabled or disabled straight from the IE browser window.

Some popups I don\'t mind, ie giving revenue to a site I visit often. However, go into your options, security, and set cookies to \'ask me\'.... Every damn popup these days sends you a cookie to track where you go on the net, or send them your contact info. It\'s irritating to keep blocking cookies, but it\'s worth it... You\'ll see, after 1 hour of surfing with that option, how much spyware you get in cookie form.
