Hey if any of you Xbox owners have gamespy and a connection for your Xbox ,lets play Halo tonight arond 7:00PM eastern time. I just got hooked up. Look for the room NPYYZ.

maybe mm could join you
sorry NPYYZ.
that was a cheap shot at the monkey man himself mm :D

did someone say monkey?
i think mm will just wait for the PC version and play halo the way it was meant to be played. with a comfortable control scheme and 60 fps.

Even though I was not that great at it, playing on line was much better then I expected it would be. I had no lag or freezing up at all. Very Nice. I\'ll be buying Nascar Heat this weekend, on line racing should be a blast, if your a racing fan that is.
-
No lag at all... Well, you do have broadband, that should be standard fare.
-
Yes I do have broadband , as a matter of a fact the cable guy was just here last week. I had a weak signal so he ran a new line to my house and even added a seperate line for my cable modem so it\'s not on the same one as the TV. Good deal. Hey if the PS2 becomes on line playable, i will be there. I think it will be worth spending a little cash for whatever upgrades are needed to go on line. tons of fun.
I have played a few PC games on line , Halflife , Motocross madness 2, Crimson skies and soilder of fortune, all good fun. However I am finding out that I am not all that good against other people. DOH!!!!!!!
-
Lol NPYYZ, I know the feeling. Online gaming is great fun! It just sucks a bit when you find out other people are totally wasting you. :D
-
i have it online also
sorry have been gone for about a week so i didnt see your thread
but let me know next time when you will be on and ill try to get on too my name is kornraver on there

NYPPZ, the PS2 IS online.... sorta. Buy Tony Hawk 3 and a USB modem and you should be good to go. Since it\'s just for one game, I say you should just get an el-cheapo use PC Keyboard for chatting and use a PS/2 or AT to USB adaptor. Hey, if you\'re PC\'s BB modem is external, you might even be able to use that on your PS2 with the right (Com, seriel, whatever) to USB adaptor. Dunno if TH3 is BB compatable tho. :( Hmm.. even if it\'s internal, as long as it has a line in I\'m sure you could network the two together somehow.
Playin online IS fun. I\'m starting to get back into PSO and QIII again.. and saving up for a PS2 and FFXI. That should be a blast when it comes out.
Jus one question tho... why in god\'s name do console manufacturers keep puttin out standard mice for their consoles?!?!?! How in the hell are you supposed to use those while sittin in your LayZboy? Maybe I\'m the first one to think this up, but wouldn\'t it be FARRR more convienient to use a trackball seein as how you just move the ball with your thumb instead of having to scrape the bottom of a chunk of plastic across a plush surface?? Hell, even an Optic track mouse would be better than the crap they\'re givin us. That\'s jus always mystified me....
-
uhhh *shudders* trackballs are way too sensitive to me - its like you get your shot lined up only to move your thumb in the slightest and miss
i hate those things
give me crappy regular mouse any day of the week

SonyFan...
PSO!
Time?
Place?

Puck 9-1
12 midnight CST (-06.00 GMT)
I\'ll be there.
Sublimesjg - It takes some getting used to. Set the sensitivity down a bit and use it for about 3 weeks. You\'ll never go back. If ya just can\'t get the hang of it, then try gettin an OpticTrac mouse. Anything but those crappy ball & axis leftovers from the 80\'s would work fine in a recliner.
