I can get a new one on the e-bay for $6 but it seems to be a no-name. Interac brand seems to be three times more than that. I\'ve heard there are some de-synchronizing issues with cheap cables. Any truth to that? If that is true, which brand is proven to work correctly, and which is known to make problems?

skip the el-cheapo 6$ specials and skip the 60$ space shuttle NASA brand cables, anything else will work the same

I\'ve found these guys who seem to offer a good price. Still, would you recommend getting cable made by some verified brands, like Monster, etc...

i actually picked up a 6\' cable today
stopped at radio shack, $35. needless to say, i laughed and walked out.
stopped at best buy, 18$. plugged them in, they work great.
i severely doubt the average audiophile coud tell the difference between these and the 60$ jobbies

Get the $13 recoton at Best Buy or Wal-mart. If you\'re really strapped for cash I\'d even recommend going to your local Funcoland which sells the Interact 6\' toslinks for for $4.99. I think they\'re used but for some reason they keep restocking them when they run out. I use one of these for the PS2, works fine.

I bought for my systems, I\'ve bought a monster 6\' digital cable, and one monster 2\' coax digital cable. I\'ve been extremely happy with them, and compared with the $12 cheap one my parents bought, the quality is well worth the price difference....
