looks like a civic to me
j/k
how much did it cost ya to make it so?
-
took it apart, rewired and reroute some ribbon cable and wires, stacked the boars to compact the thing, cut away at the shell to make it din sized, and voila!
its not a civic, but i tell people that when they ask me if it is.
-
I\'m more fascinated by this... wtf? I\'ve never seen that before:

you would be surprised hw much time one can have to play in the car, specially if you aren\'t driving, like for me, when my gf drives.
As for topic, looks good man, congrats. BTW, I have that same pioneer headunit :D
-
I\'d rather have my PS2 in my house and have a GBA to carry around on road trips. :D
-
personally, i think thats fake\'d
that section is what, 9" wide
i highly doubt that there isnt a circiut board in the ps2 that is less than 9" to fit in that space, let alone "stack them"?
hmmmmm, you got a pic of it running?
and if it is real, who cares
effort wasted when it would take 30 seconds for someone to jack yer ride
wouldnt be very hard to cut the face off a broken PS2 and make that into a faceplate
i saw a car at a car show that had a dvd-ROM drive in the dash to that the owner could burn MP3\'s to the disks and play them via the PC in the trunk
nothing like hundreds of hours of music on a single disk

WRX? Stitching on the knob looks like my car\'s.
-
That’s some pretty crazy stuff man. Cool, but not for me. I sent the pics to some of my friends, they love this stuff.;)

Nice install, but I don\'t think thats your car. I have seen those pics before..
Mind clearing that up for me..:fro:
You guys wanna see an install.. I was not going to say anything till I had it all done, but its gonna be tight...
I should have it completed by the 19th, so I will post pics and info about it then.. But till then its gonna be a surprise. Actually my car is in the shop right now getting something else done...
Here is a pic of my friends install.. Check check itCyan S4 - Euro tuner mag in July! (http://www.audizine.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4625&FORUM_ID=6&CAT_ID=3&Topic_Title=PICTURES+of+MY+STEREO+SYSTEM+bandwidth+intensive&Forum_Title=1%2E+A4%2FS4%2FRS4)

I wonder how long it will last before the heat gets to it.
-
Can you drive while playing a DVD? I can\'t imagine the PS2 would do very well in driving conditions.
-

answeres to questions and comments:
heat not a problem, cooling fans are still there and its vented
that is my car, its a show car i dont drive. see some older pics at newimagemotorsports.com. this car is number 13 in the garage section.
check out autophiles.com in the featured section under wow factor
this playstation is in the car for show. its fully functional. dvd plays fine while driving. i dont really use it anyways unless parked at a show.
the ps2 realeased on opening day is different that the current ones. the first ps2 had seperated boards, the current one has one large board. i believe they are on the ninth version of ps2 due to constant changes to deter modding and pirating.
my other ps2 is the first ever ps2. the case says ps2 TEST. its the one used for game developing and hooks up to the computer. it plays dvd and vcd, plays all ps and ps2 burnt games. id rather have this one in the house.
if you want usless and unnecessary, my lisence plate in the back motorized open and reveals 9 super bright halogens to blind tailgaters and high beamers. see it at newimagemotorsports.com no13 in the garage section.
sorry for the long post. noone probably reads the whole thing anyways.
