Title: a fresh and unique racing game on GC ?

I hope so...

New information of Race of Champions for GC has been released, the game is expected to be release some time in 2002, and will hopefully get more car racing games onto the console as their is much of a lack of them compared to other consoles.

The game is quite unique, as it contains F1, Le Mans, Rally, and other types of cars which are pitted against one another in a huge race. The game will contain over 20 licensed vehicles.


"We saw all sorts of things getting dented and dirty and ultimately flying off entirely, parts like bumpers, hoods, doors, windows, and the like. Many of the cars\' parts seem fully physically modeled as well, which made for some interesting dynamics--antennae would sway, doors would flip open and closed."

There are the following game play modes available:

• Rally Cross - standard circuit races
• Hill Climb
• Checkpoint, Elimination - the last car in each lap will be eliminated
• Follow the Leader - players have a life bar that depletes when they do not lead the race
• Relay - players to trade off laps with their team-mates

Sounds cool, but its also on PS2.

Gran Turismo and Colin McRae will always be my racing kings  :)

bah, i think GT3 has set the bar for simulation racing games too high.. its impossible for a game to compete.. IMO  :)

GT3 and CMR3 is all you need... Untill GT4 comes.
Yamauchi said it will have alot more modes, AND online play.. Woho!

yea but for people that want a realism in damage and the like

then this seems to be that game and by the sounds of the like its gonna be an arcade style game with licensed cars to go boom

least thats what i get from it

Well...in terms of simulation I think GT is not invincible...I should wait for GP4 on the XBox...

but again,GT is my favourite racing game ever...but it\'s my personal taste...nothing more,nothing less...

I\'ll get CMR3 and GP4 for the XBox and...and...can\'t wait for GT4!!! have you any new info on GT4?

I guess I am a big dork because the racing game I am looking forward to the most is Mario Kart for the Gamecube. When is this game ever coming out?

Also, what about Mario Golf and Mario Tennis? Are they coming out for the Gamecube? If so then when?
