The vid isn\'t direct feed, but look at how big the environments are, and look at the reflections on the road in the rainy bits, looking very good.

2 Words:
That video is great!!!
When is Need For Speed coming out?
-
Woah.
I\'ve never been a NFS fan, cuz personally there always seemed to be a lot of detail missing and stuff like that, and the camera work was kinda iffy, but woah.... I gotta say that video clip is darn impressing. Made my head turn twice.
-
yeah, I know. The detail is mega impressive, and the reflections on the road are even better then in GT3!!!
If theres no aliasing, then we are all sitting pretty!
-
The problem with Need for Speed is that the tracks are circles, what since does that make? I think the game should be more realistic like GTA3 when you ducking in and out of building going down alleys stuff like that.
EA does have good cars though. This will be good, but not GT3
Besides GT3 has the depth that many people will need to stay interested.
The other thing is this EA makes most of the cars locked so that you have to play a lot of the same thing just to get a different car.
I think burnout will still be better.
I love the looks of the trees in the video though! Water looks almost too reflective,

Here is another, new, amazing movie.
Lambo in the forrest (http://www.nd4spd.de/nfs6/videos/test_murcielago_hi.mpeg)
-
wow! nice movies! Thanx mates for the links :p
-
This is gonna be the biggest unexpected hit I reckon.
-
I hope its good, because I need a good arcade racing game after GT3.
One small thing I don’t like about this game (just like NFS3, 4 and 5) is the LIGHTS..
They should make them more GT3\'ish where the TEXTURES on the lights lit up. Don’t use a corona for the lights because it looks damn unrealistic!
Check the 2nd video Racer posted and you\'ll see.
-
It won\'t match Burnout but thats alright.

Well, I hated Burnout. The controls were horrible and completely whack. I know its an arcade game, but come on.
And can anyone say JAGGIES?
-
Just seen the rain video Racer, damn.. this has some amazing detail going on. The trees look really good and theres
loads of vegetation, sun flares, lighting.. etc..etc..
Heck.. this is a definate purchase for me.. i love the NFS games.
Top Post Racer, damn.. now all we need is a karma button..
-
I know, its brilliant, something I wasn\'t expecting... Check out the second vid, it contains more water and longer look at environment.
-
Just have m8.. looks amazing.. i love the draw distance.. just wait until i shows me mates.. lol..
Props Racer..
-
And remember, this is @ a silky smooth 60fps.
And, yes, there is a 60hz mode for PAL!!!
-
Just when i thought it couldn\'t get any better...
EA finally adopted the 60hz Euro rule.. i\'m hoping that they add it in F1 2002..
Cheers bud

Man!, I am happy to see that there is someone that hates that game as much as I do:bounce:
NFS, has something most racers forget about - fun gameplay. In GT3 the cars did not even have any sense of AI (I have nothing against this game but just using it as an example). This was already happening in NFS2.
My friends and I played the "Mystic Peaks" stage with the Mclaren F1. There was this computer oponent by the name of \'Woody". Now, if anyone still has this game (I know it is old and outdated and looked ****ty even in those days) then you must try this. Piss "woody" off. Ramm into him as much as you can for about 2 minutes. Now, just drive off like nothing happened and the next thing you know he is up your ass trying to shove you off the road. When he nailes you, and he will, he keeps on ramming you and blowing his horn. We used to have a real fun time pissing him off.
But that is what i would expect from a NFS game - pure fun gameplay...and that is why this game is going to rock:thepimp:

O.......M........G *drools*
That video look AWSOME! I liked the other NFS\'s so im getting this one. In the first ones I would go slow and on the right side of the road so the cops wouldnt come after me but they did.
-
Looks great. But the second movie of the Lambo going off road made me chuckle. :)

Watch what you say about that game. Hell you don\'t even know what your talking about. I\'ve had more fun with that game than almost any other game on the PS2. Oh and I don\'t even notice Jaggies. I don\'t like to cry about games, I just play them.
-
add some splash effects and they would be top knotch :)
not a game for me tho, but im sure it will sell well..

Dude, my name is not ##RaCeR## for any old reason you know. I live for racing games (well, not live, but they are really the only ones I play...). Anyway, I found Burnout short and boring. It had no stand out features to me.
-
I logged in more multiplayer with this game than I did with any other game on the PS2. My cousin and I played non-stop at one time.
-
Its just difference of opinions. Yeah, its a good multi game, but boring as a single player.
I really hope NFS has good multi player support.

i would have to agree...multi player has been NFS downfall!!!
-
Yep, specially cause of the framerate issues.
Lets hope they get it right this time. Hmm, I am also hearing rumours of a playable demo on the new OPSM2....
