Whats the verdict? Has anyone played this game?
The graphics look great and I can imagine the crashes to be intense.
Does the game has jumps though? I thought I seen a screenshot that looked like it had a jump in it. I hope this is NOT the case.
I am wanting to buy it today if its good, so please let me know.
Thanks,
-
Yeah, its pretty good. All the tracks are ovals, so unless your a Nscar fan, most people won\'t like that sorta thing.
Its an Australian game, so its a plus.
-
Are you sliding sideways 90% of time in the curves like you\'re supposed to?
-
Its pretty accurate.
Its exactly like Powerslide and Leadfoot, both on PC. Search for a demo of either of them on the net. Made by the same people, similar style game (don\'t ask me why they are focusing on this type of game...)
-
huh..i aint heard about this!!! is it nas car?? some info plzzz

Crap!, crap!, crappity crap crap!!
I was interested in this game, and it\'s only like $35 US new. But now that I know it\'s all ovals I\'m not interested at all.
I know the really Sprintcar Series is all ovals, but come on, this is a game. Gives us some extras.
Crap!

Dude, all the REAL tracks are ovals, there are fantasy tracks as bonus\'s.
Its pretty decent, even with the ovals, caused it has awesome damage models.
Give it a rent.
-
so is it nascar racing?? hello peeps, id like some info
-
So there are bonus tracks. That helps.
It\'s not NASCAR, it\'s sprint cars. I\'m not real familiar with the series, but they race on dirt ovals and pretty much powerslide for the entire lap.
It\'s very fast paced.

Yes, its NOT Nascar. Its Sprintcars. Like derby raceing, that sorta thing. Its pretty big in Australia in some parts.
Its a pretty good game, excellent damge models.
-
yeah i think i know wht you mean..i just wasnt sure!!!! so are all the tracks ova, i know u say they are in real lfe, but have they any fanatasy tracks, where they aint ovals??!!
als whats the damage sysstem, ai etc like?
-
If you like racing it\'s the best $29 you\'ll spend. It is a simple game but hard to master, this is a sim not an arcade. If you like racing sims buy it otherwise rent it first.
The AI is tough, Gran Turismo AI is a 0.01, WoO AI is a 9.99. I\'m into year two of career mode and still haven\'t made it into an WoO A-Main.

sorry about double posts.....com was messing up

Dude, its an Aussie game, which is PAL, so your almost guarenteed that it will come sooner or later. Its out in the USa already, so I would say UK is not far behind.

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the game freezing up (black screen) on the career mode...I bought the game from 3 different stores and all 3 games freeze up on the career mode. I know of one other person that has had this problem with the WoO game. I called the company that makes it, and they have not had enough calls to come up with a solution yet. If anyone knows of a solution, please post it here... Although this problem makes the game frustrating, it is still the best game out there !!!!!
-
What the hell is WoO???
What are you talking about?
-
Haven\'t had any problems with WoO freezing.
WoO = World of Outlaws. "World of Outlaws Sprint Cars 2002" is the complete name of the game (in the US) but it\'s quicker to type WoO.

This game is sounding pretty good.
I passed on it origianlly because of all the ovals and the cheap price kinda scared me. But you guys are making sound pretty good. Plus I love racing sims a lot more than Arcade racing. I love real damage, engine failures and all that crap.
