How long so you think it will be till we honestly find real life on another planet. I\'m not talking about a fossilized amoeba. I\'m talking real life. Something we could actually communicate with.
I think it will be somewhere around 2008. bah, yeah right. Not in my son\'s lifetime.

I have always said that it would be awfully silly of us to think that we were the only intelligent life form in the universe, but for us to come across the ability to communicate or even find some evidence is a long ways away.
I always say though, “if man can think it, it can be done”.:alien:

//me looks over at a cetian member and says
" can we put a back date on it ?........anyway what year did RACER Join ?"

My grandparents live in Roswell where all that alien stuff happened in the 40\'s, so my grandmother nows one of the guys that was dating a nurse that worked on the "ALIENS", she disappeared a week later.

Too funny.
Actually I originally said instead of "Something we can communicate with" I said "Like little Racers running around."
And hence Kid Vids 4000th post.

who\'s to say that we havent already... We just havent been told about it. Im sure thats the case...
-
yea for all we know there could be some life on the moon - i seriously doubt the government would tell us
till we get there ourselves we cant really say
and hence yes i believe there are other lifeforms somewhere but where and when i dont know

I heard on tv that scientists have discovered a planet that can contain some kinda life-form. I\'s very similar to the earth. The problem is that it\'s about 25.000 million light-years far way away from our planet. In the case it\'s true... I think never would be known. It\'s a bit far :D

tomorrow!!!!!!!;)

Ha ha - "Goldilocks zone", "tiddlers". Must be astronomy slang.
I don\'t exactly understand why they\'re so busy looking for planets similar to Earth (other than the possible evacuation of our own planet). I guess that would be the logical approach, but the universe is billions of years old, meaning there could be civilizations billions of years more advanced than us. Why would they need water? Why would they need a climate between 0 and 120 degrees F? I personally don\'t think we\'re ready to be introducted to alien life forms. Too many organized religious types would be running around screaming about the apocalypse.

well if it happens that the extra terrestrial life form has extrememly advanced technology and finds us instead of us finding them...then it could be any time......like tomorrow!:alien:
But if it is us who discover it, i cannot say wen it will be becuase our technology is growwing rapidly but it will still be a great deal of time untill we have the technology to go "search" for ET
-
Face it, it\'s already happened. We\'re just not ready to hear about it. They\'ve been on the moon since the 50\'s man!
-
yeah whos says we havent had contact yet??? we prob were contacted ages ago, but the government have kept us in the dark, cos they dont think we are ready for it

Actually, we have the technology to travel for extremely long periods of time. Its just so expensive to make.. They can use antimatter, but it takes so much energy to create it... But we could travel to Mars and back 3 times on 1 oz. of antimatter.. (Thats like a 6 month trip)
