Title: Firewalls?

Does anyone here know hoe to turn firewalls off in XP, does it have a firewall in XP.
Could a firewall make me have bad online gaming? could it cause lag?
Also when i move forward when playing, it keeps moving me back to where i was, is that lag?

i leave my firewall up when gaming
it filters out the crap

my D-Link Cablemodem Router has one built in....I did a security check and NOTING can get in.
