When I was a youngster, I liked the Golden Ax,some wrestling game (forgot the name of it) and the X-men Side Scrolling arcade game. what about you?
-
I was pretty young. I loved Golden Axe. Also, Monkey Island 1 was my first taste of gameing. I loved that game.
-
I liked playing Street Fighter: Turbo, WWF: Royal Rumble, and the original Mario Bros.
-
Street Fighter II, X-Men, and the Simpsons
-
The Simpsons and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! damn I loved them back then.
-
Puzzle Bobble (now known as Bust a Move)... Mortal Kombat 2... Cruisn\' USA...
When I was in the 6th grade and in DARE. We had a Game-A-Thon. Where we got about 10 bucks worth of quarters each and went to a nearby large arcade and held tournaments on games. I got whooped in the Soul Blade one, then in a sci-fi space shooter, but got first place in Cruisn\' USA!
Still makes me :D
-
damn how did I forget street fighter, also lose alot of quarters on the Simpsons.
-
Was it Royal Rumble, Bladez? or was it WWF WrestleFest? :) That game ruled!
-
Teenage Mutand Ninja Turtles 2, the first game wasn\'t that great but the 2nd game was excellent, it was and still is one of the best games ever.
We need more games like that now adays, all we have today are fps\'s, rpg\'s, fighters and driving games. I want the walk through fighting against a bunch of bad fighters.
-
A friend and I spent about five hours and a few fists full of quarters trying to beat Golden Axe. When we were done beating the game the owner of the pizza parlor bought us a round of pizza and free Coke. Those were the days. And yes, Golden Axe was and still remains my favorite arcade game of the late ‘80’s early ‘90’s.
As for the early ‘80’s however…it was definitely KungFu! Oooh yeah baby.
-
Outrun and Chasehq took plenty of my cash back then!
-
The simpsons was EASILY the best one. Man, I loved that game. They really should have made a consol version.
Coming in second would be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game (not sure which one...).
In 3rd is X-Men
In 4th is golden axe
-
TRON
but thats more early 80\'s i guess.

The cool thing about that is that I just recently got the newly remastered version of the movie on DVD and it was a warp to the past bro!;)

I can\'t really remember since I was like 6?

This thread brings back a lot of good memories. :)
I really loved The Simpsons. The last time I played it, my friend and I managed to beat it, which was quite a feat for us considering how much money we threw into the game by that time.
I also enjoyed playing that X-men side-scroller that theomen mentioned, especially when all 6 (or was it 8?) characters were being controlled. I remember how Nightcrawler was always the fan favorite, and I considered it an honor when I actually got to play as him.
And, of course, I can\'t forget to mention the original Mortal Kombat. If I had saved all the quarters that I ultimately spent on that game, I would.... have a ton of quarters. :p
Anyone remember Time Killer? For those who can\'t remember, it was a fighting game where you fought in different eras of time, and you could chop off the arms and legs of your opponent and the fight would still continue. I miss that game.

Golden axe( id love to see one on Ps2) Teenage mutant ninja Turtles( i still play it on NES ) And the simpsons. I was like four when i played it. I remember it was at chucky cheese for my birthday and my older cousin showed me how to play. I now play it at the local laundrymat.
