Well I played the FFX demo 2 days ago and I think it\'s amazing, which is really wiered sinse I hate RPG\'s, the last FF I played was number 7 and I hated it. Im really thinking about getting this now
-
Well I played the FFX demo some weeks ago, and I hated it, which is weird, because I love RPG\'s and namely the FF series. I\'m having doubts whether to get this game the day it\'s out, or wait a year or so.
-
ummm, funny
-
I suggest to rent it first, log some hours on it and decide if you want to live through its\' drab story...
The FMVs are pretty though...

lol....I agree.

Yeah, I think Ill rent it.
-
noo its awesome and worth all your money
-
Well, if you\'ve always hated RPGs, then yes, rent it.
But if you want to experience one of the best games in the Final Fantasy series without a 5-day time constraint, then a purchase would be the better choice.

Seriously. My time\'s at 106 hours. This game is really amazing, you can\'t go wrong buying it, unless you don\'t like RPG\'s.

I am up around 115 hours......I was leveling up alot and taking my time getting ultimate weapons......still missing lulus sigil........need to spend more time in the Thunder plains........leveling up to take on Overdrive Sin.

Was there anything in particular you didn\'t like? I imagine some of us who\'ve played the game can tell you if your concerns are justified, and help shed some light on any incongruences you may have noticed, spoiler free of course. I myself would be more than happy to oblige. Just need to know what the actual demo entails?

Cringes at the thought of dodging 200 bolts...
Anyway, why do you need to level up for Overdrive Sin? That was possibly the shortest boss fight in the whole game for me...and my characters were only hitting between 6-9000...
you\'re going to dominate that poor thing...*feels sorry for overdrive sin:(

GOD ****ING DAMMIT! WILL EVERYONE STOP INCLUDING LITTLE DETAILS ABOUT THE GAME!! I HAVENT PLAYED IT YET AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO AVOID ALL DETAILS UNTIL I BUY IT! :rpissed:
and why the hell is this in THIS forum?? ugh
anyhoo.. i will buy it, and i will love it
and Hawkey, youve just been funny lately.. remember you hated MGS2 initially.. give it a chance bro, you know deep down you are gonna love it
-
I\'ll buy it, for sure. FF games are great and I can\'t miss the 10th marvelous.
-
I\'ve just had my expectations a bit too high for some games lately... I think I\'ll let FFX be out a while before getting it. Might nab it for less money that way too, which is good. And I WILL be getting, hell no am I going to miss an FF game, but... there are so many other great games out there. And then there\'s the now ridiculously cheap XBox (got some friends working at a store + a -15% voucher to use, mmm..).
I\'ll eventually get FFX and if not love the heck out of it, at least like it like crazy. My only problem will be avoiding spoilers all this time, eek!
-
yeah i think you should buy it, as you dont want to rush this game!!!
when i fist played ff7 i hated it, then about a year latr i re bought it, after about 3 hours i was addicted, i couldnt put it down!!!!
no i really like rpgs

yeah, there is no perfect game that meets 100% your requirements nor will there ever be one. but this game was amazing in all aspects what ever faults it had ( plenty of them ) i ignored because its soo good a game you forget its faults
ok what r the games faults in my opinuin?
1. if u played ff7 / 8 / 9 u can in some cases predict wats gona hapen next ( hmm is this just me ) but i still enjoyed it even tho the story was predictable in some cases, i didn\'t care !
2. dificulty, once i lvled up a lot the game became it too eaaaasyyy, ok moral here don\'t lvl-up too much .. oh well it just makes the game progress quicker which means closer to the end :((((( if i have to complete it again i would rather take my time lol.
3. music, well music is superb, except for one thing, it\'s a bit sad most of the time. while its wonderfull music it makes you feel your watching a tragic event all the time, but in sadness you also taste something u don\'t taste in happiness so i guess this game is trying to give us a fantasy world that has some sadness in it, so who cares this is part of the package i guess.
4. ending well you asked for no spoilers but i can say the ending could have bin better, its a very good ending but i can\'t say exactly why i prefer it in a difirent way as it will be a spiler lol. you will know what i mean when u complete it. lol .

I\'ve listened through the OST (and all arranged albums) several time, and in my opinions, FFX\'s has got to be one of the worst FF soundtracks ever. Uematsu seems to be losing his magik touch, and the two other composers (Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano) kinda mess it up even more... they all contribute to the whole, yes, but some pieces are for example just SO SaGa Frontier I just can\'t believe I\'m listening to FF music. Uematsu has stressed that melodies are the carrying force of a tune, and now there\'s heaps and heaps of this boring ambient type mess in the soundtrack thanks to the other composers... And the final battle music... oh my f\'n God (though I don\'t believe in one)... Uematsu\'s battle compositions, especially boss/final types have almost always been something at least a bit more than great, and now this mess?
My score for the OST ~ 5/10
Oh yeah, and the voice acting BLOWS :p
-
Yes the voice acting, hand gestures, body movements were pretty lame...
And yes, the music you are talking about (last boss;)) suprised the hell out of me. It was about a 30 minute battle for me, it got old quick...
-
Yeah I heard the demo is quite good.
-
it took a while to get going but once it did, it was like a baby on a hot seat.....boo ya
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
