oooo, shiny!

Yeah, that looks really good. I wish I knew how to do that sort of thing :(

Very nice Chiz, I\'m impressed!

Hey! I have one of those! You\'ve captured it so perfectly!
But seriously folks, that\'s some talent there.

Thanx guys, it\'s only in its infancy... The gears work & I wanna make a huge machine that does nothing. Maybe connect it with some bridges to other parts. Whatever it is, I will render an .avi movie (maybe 10 sec.) & add some sounds.... I\'ll post the link when its done, maybe a week or so... If anyone has any ideas, post \'em here! :D

Great idea! I love machines that do nothing! Instead of taking notes in lecture I find myself drawing 2d versions of machines that do nothing!

Nice! :) I like those mirrors
I can make something similar in lightwave I think
some suggestions:
- Get rid of the lensflare, its annoying
- give those \'wall\' textures on the bottom a bump map
- find a cool wood texture and use it on the structure, and again add some bump map
- add some cool reflective water on on the bottom
- Use finalrender ;)

The mirrors are actually lenses, but I gotta tone down the reflect maps a bit...the lensflare is actually a photoshop thing I added at the last second. just to see if I wanted one in the animation.
The "walls" are actually stacked rock slabs. They sit on top of a girder-type structure that you can\'t see in this render. When I get home from work I will do a full view render so you can see what\'s goin\' on... I plan on dragging out the digi-camera soon and go "texture shopping" around the city...keep the advice coming- I don\'t know anyone else who does this stuff.... ;)
