Has anyone got a link to where u can buy a modem from America or somethin, or how much they are????

its not available for sale yet

it will be out around august and will cost $39.95  [peanuts]
the adaptor contains both the rj11 [phone line] and rj45 [ethernet] ports

beta testing is already going on, and i believe 2-3 members here are part of that

It\'s over.
I sent all my stuff back on Monday.

They will be sending me my FREE BBA and Online Demo disc :):):)

Ok, I\'m jacked up on rum and coke here.....

It was AWESOME!!!1111

TMB was the best. I had twisted metal when it came out initially for the ps2, and traded it in after a month or so... but to play it online really brings out the whole revenge thing.:)

While using 56K I couldn\'t even get on long enough to finish a game, hopefully they\'ll have that fixed.. On my DSL line (450/250) it worked freaking seamless:)

Socom was very sharp too, but I really sucked at it... It was difficult for me to distinguish enemys from friends and also hard to lock on (damn analog right stick!!). I played from the 3rd person perspective. The visuals were crisp and detailed and with more time I could have been Rambo...really:D

Socom is Broadband only..

Well, I gotta go for tonight. My ati drivers are done downloading, and I wanna check out my Freedom Force demo. Also I need cigs and more rum, so back off mofo\'s:D

39.99 thats almost a game man iam starting to apreciate the price of deadbox and what it offers.

you\'ll be appreciating the "deadbox" when you have to pay m$ a monthly fee just to play online

As for the $39.99, if indeed that is the price of a game, then it may be worth the price considering that you could think of it as a game and fun enhancement. There are many good reasons to play online, and at $39.99, the cost is definitely worth it man.;)

I hope Sony makes Socom 56k friendly also, they\'ve been touting it as one of their premiere games, and to only offer it to a small spectrum of people from a already small spectrum of peolpe seems assinine.  

I\'d love to play online, but I can\'t affored a broadband connection just yet.  About how much do they cost a  month?  Paying for that and some of these online games, will cost a bit much....
