this is a PS2 forum so the results to your question would usually turn out a bit biased..

the best way to answer this would be make up your own mind, weigh up the pros and cons because this is a big decision with $300 minimum at stake if you dont enjoy your console :)

bluh, i started listing franchises and games for each console.. but.. eh well, just make up your own mind.. which will offer you the most enjoyment

and dont rule out the Nintendo GameCube, another quality system, with Resident Evil just released, couldnt really go wrong with that either..

^^^---- Agrees with Bob.

All I have to add is that all three consoles are going to be good purchases. Although, I think the PS2 is the safest bet it all really comes down to what you prefer and what you\'re looking for.

Xbox has the graphics, gizmos, and broadband gaming clenched. - Lacks 56k support tho.

PS2 has the games, add-on gizmos, and is probably your best bet for online gaming unless you\'re on broadband. - Graphics aren\'t the best this generation tho.

NGC has it\'s own style of games, low-low prices, GBA connectivity. - Lacks a few options and it\'s online plans (while it\'s definately going online) are unclear right now. Like the PS2 it will support both 56k and Broadband.

If I was you, I\'d think about what you\'re looking for the most in and of your games and then make your decision based on which console best satisfies your needs.
