Title: Cops checked for tickets in sold out Spider-man movie.
Post by: GmanJoe on May 04, 2002, 06:31:23 AM
Why? Well....there were people in the aisle who had tickets and could not find a single seat. So, the cops were called in....

They lit the lights, stopped the trailers and checked everyone\'s tickets. About 30 people had to leave. BWAHAHAHA! All of them probably in their teens. A few were girls.

Heh!

Rule #1 about sneaking into theaters : Do Not go into one that you know will be sold out. It becomes too obvious that there are squaters in the theater.

The kids didn\'t get in any legal trouble?  Were there people waiting for them outside?  I know the cops and theater staff in my area wouldn\'t just let them leave.  They\'d at least give a call to their parents and have them on record.

When I went and saw Spiderman at my theater on Sunday the movie staff checked everyones ticket stubs as they were entering the screen room. I usually dont even keep my ticket stub, but fortunately I did this time. It would suck to be thrown out of the theater because u threw away your ticket stub. It would suck even more if you got charged with something by the police when you actually did pay for the movie, but just threw your stub away.

The people who snuck in were juvies so i guess they cops knew the charges would have been dropped. Well, I didn\'t see any arrests anyway. There could have been cops outside waiting for them.

It was an interesting event, to say the least.
