Notice how the last scene, where he supposedly "breaks down", looks exactly like the one
before when he cuts the median, just slowed down a bit. Why do they cut the date/time stamp?
Check it out for yourself!

engine failure my arse :D
Other points of interest...
I doubt that the driver is 15 as stated..95% of the time..a 15 yr. wont be able to drive like that.
240hp??? those style M\'s didnt have 240..it was around 200 i think
supercharged??? try again sheriff john bunell...

Well, like any hollywood show, I assume they take certain \'liberties\'. They surely exagerate the HP, and speeds, possibly the ages a bit (but a 15 year old who has been boosting cars for two years, can prolly drive an automatic fairly well). However, as for the final shot being fake... I understand that one.
The chase car who\'s camera we have been watching is out of the chase. The host then said that \'a few miles later, [the 15 year old] had to give up, because of car trouble\'. If they don\'t have the footage from that car (remember, the police officer or station has to voluntarily send it in), then they would be forced to either not show that ending or take the convenient almost-stop from earlier in the chase.

Why did they do this? Well because they only had one camera. They needed a way to cover the ending. Using the only shot they had of the guy pushing the brakes was about all they could do. Just crop the time off and you have a closing shot.
Otherwise your last shot is the car speeding away with the police car crashing.
I don\'t see any big deal in this. Stuff is staged all the time. Not a biggy.

the other car had a dash cam as well. it irritates me b/c of the way they come across.

I guess I better not tell you what I have done in the past then......
