Title: Multiplayer games....
Post by: on May 05, 2002, 05:24:35 PM: Okay, my friends, siblings, and i have been wanting a GOOD fun multiplayer game for the ps2. We have THPS3, which gets boring after a while, we have VF4, and some others, but want a good solid multiplayer. How about Timespitters? is that good? the level editor is sounds coool. PLEASE help me!
PS:and dont suggest JB007:AUF, i already wasted my money on that P.O.S.

Post by: nataku on May 05, 2002, 05:42:26 PM: Twisted Metal Black is great fun.. you can play against each other, or beat the game with some family or friends. Nothing beats that.

Armored Core 2, that\'d be great... see who can build the better mech. But there is a new one coming out, so I\'d probably just wait for that... or, but AC2 used, if you can find it cheap.

And yeah, TS is great.... but then again, there\'s the sequel thing. Look for it used. :D

Gauntlet is fun but a little too easy, try renting

Crash Team Racing (CTR) if you\'ve never played it and don\'t insist on PS2 only, great graphics by PSX standards

My friends and I once ran a 5000 kill deathmatch. Took us quite a while... It was in the construction site with all bots on highest diff.

Any other game and that might get boring... but after finishing, we played again right after.

12.99 is a steal for the fun you could have with it.

Plus it\'ll get you stoked for TS2

Post by: Diehard577 on May 06, 2002, 08:53:35 PM: I hope this doesn\'t piss too many people off, but I think the Xbox is much better for multiplayer. Because the system is more powerful than the PS2 almost all of its games have a four player split screen mode with almost no slowdown.

Some 4 player Xbox games:
Halo (2 player co-op is AWESOME!!)
Rallisport Challenge
Jet Set Radio Future
The thing that scares me is that the Xbox could do a four player GTA3... the moment this becomes a reality is the moment I need to change my underpants. :eek:

and XBox.. doing 4 player GTA3...wtf? what the hell are you talking about Die Hard?
