Title: Just Got Me A PS2!

I was really thinking of which console to buy but finally decided to just get a PS2.. Anyone with any game suggestions? Also Can I use the PS Controller and memory cards? LMK Thanks

Let me be the first to congratulate you. :)

Yes, you can use your old PS controller and yes you can use the old memory card. But they only work with PS1 games, so if you want to save in your new PS2 games, you have to get a PS2 memory card.. As for games, try Grand Theft Auto 3!

you can use a PS1 controller with some PS2 games, as long as they dont use the analogue buttons.. cant use your PS1 memory card tho

GTA3 is a good bet, along with Red Faction, Twisted Metal: Black, Devil may Cry, Final fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2, Gran Turismo 3, Baldur\'s Gate Dark Alliance, Tony Hawks 3

You made the right decision my man, congrats. Your best bet is use psone peripherals with only psone games, and PS2 peripherals with only PS2 games. As serrano and bob said, you have to get GTA3, its brilliant, it\'ll have you hooked for ages. What sort of games do you like?

Ok, here goes:

• RPG - ICO, Final Fantasy X many more that I dont know (not an RPG fan)
• FIGHTING - Virtua Fighter 4, Tekken 4 and MK: Deadly Alliance (when they are out, sorry bout the spelling)
• SPORTS - Pro Evoloution Soccer, NBA 2k2, others.......

tekken 4 aint out yet, Virtua Fighter 4 is really deep, and Tekken Tag is fantastic..
