I just got off the phone with the airlines and stuff and for taxi and plane its going to cost me friggin $2,000 to get to E3 and back.
Hot damn I\'ve been raped!
So I\'d just like to scream for a second while praying to God that E3 will be one hell of an experience.

should be fuggin\' awesome.. with so many games people are expecting to be announced (please god! Vagrant Story 2!) and all sorts fof classics and huge upcoming games.. will be one hell of a show
p.s. sorry about the raping :(

I can\'t wait to see Shen Mue II on XBOX. :bounce:

I\'ve heard nothing but good things for E3 2k2. Plus EGM and GI Mags are showing some awesome previews, all the consoles are now established and it\'s time for the next generation of games. Competition is gewd!!! :)
Plus with the E3 babes you\'ll have a heck of a time.

2,000 bills?!
I\'m flying to Baltimore from here, for only 260 bucks round-trip. Check Southwest Airlines, and if your under 18 I think you get a discount.

yea well i thought you had to be press only to go to E3
or do i have my video game confrences mixed up - my friend went but he was part of a online ps2 site - he did reviews damn bastard got all his systems and games for free
he said E3 is awesome because you get to meet a lot of the devs and stuff plus you get to play games and stuff you will never hear of again

That really sounds great. You\'ll have to tell us all what you see there. Give us a bit of insider info of sorts (hopefully a lot from the Nintendo booths :))
-
Doesn\'t E3 have a special section where casual gamers can just spectate?
-
Yea it\'s press only, but I write for http://www.ngenres.com and our boss has arranged for a bunch of us to attend.
My info will most definitely be heavy on the Nintendo side, but I\'ll be checking for some third party stuff, too, so I\'ll let you guys know if I see anything cool.
Heh, btw, in anticipation of E3, I wrote this article (http://puzzles.ngenres.com/editorials/14.html) today. It\'s pretty funny, I think, check it out.
The only sucky thing is that I have to leave before the final day of the show to be home for my girl\'s senior prom. I\'m going to miss like half the interviews we have lined up because of that.
Oh well, it should still be fun. I will be in LA to look around most of Monday, there\'s a Nintendo press conference Tuesday, and I get to attend the actual show Wednesday and Thursday before coming home late that night.
It\'ll be worth it and I figure if I work my ass off this summer, I\'ll have replaced the cost of the tickets.
One idea I have so far for an editorial on the site is about the coworker of mine at NGenres, Dave. He can\'t go because he\'s not 18, so I\'ll be bringing a few 8x10s of him, instead. I\'m going to take pictures of his photo playing the newest games and have industry people pose with them. "Dave\'s E3 trip" is going to rock.

I don\'t think so. They\'re getting harder and harder on people tryin\' to get in. Theres a bunch of rules for the sites and mags and such that get invitiations, or are allowed to buy tickets. From what I heard, last year the security was pretty tight (they even gave Gabe from PA a hard time cause he was joking around about his ID and job and stuff).

I thought the article was pretty funny.
(Runs around in circles)

Reminds me of the How\'s that grab ya, bob column at the cc. I loved that stuff. Anyway. good article. The Dave\'s trip to E3 thing sounds great too. I\'ll have to go back to the site after E3 to check it out.
