Title: Nintendo and its third parties
Post by: Eiksirf on May 11, 2002, 06:28:01 AM
It\'s been reported that Sega and Nintendo are working together on GC and Arcade F-Zero titles, Namco and Nintendo are working on GC and Arcade Star Fox titles, and now Capcom and  Nintendo are putting together a Link to the Past "re-mix" for GBA (though I\'d have to classify this as rumor for now).

Does all this seem surreal to anyone else?

It\'s one of the best things to happen for Nintendo in quite sometime, as it kills any thoughts that Nintendo does not have massive third party support behind them this generation, espically when you take in account that Namco,Capcom and Sega are all commited to delivering their own classic franchises to the NGC.

Out of all the console companies, I honestly think Nintendo is in the BEST position to offer us gamers what we love the most, top quality games.

So true. Nintendo seems to have a nice strong hold on third parties this generation, something that hurt them last generation. Take in account all of their first party games and you end up with a mass collection of top quality games.

Yeah, this is good to hear.  One of the reasons I decided to buy an GC was the promise that third party developers would be returning.  It\'s good to see that this is becoming a reality.

Nintendo\'s unreal 1st-party lineup made me once again buy their system without hesitation. Originally, 3rd-party exclusives like Resident Evil were just icing on a Nintendo cake that would last me for years.. but that\'s all changed.

Now by the end of the GCN\'s life, I just might own more 3rd-party games than 1st/2nd-party..
