It will definitely be an interesting year if this indeed happens. I just hope that it doesnt come to this. Knowing the Middle East however...I\'m sure that it will happen, just as predicted.

Thanks for not posting anything about wreslting.;)

*Shrugs*

I pretty much support Palestine (not their methods, but their predicament) so I could care less if Iraq and Iran start a war with em. Just a few less rocks they won\'t be throwing at our "StarWars-like-by-compairison" high tech armorment. Let Saddam fight a war on two fronts.. Kadafi too.. f*ck em... Hey! It worked for Hitler!

Wait.. no it didn\'t.......

Anyhow, if Isriel gets caught in the crossfire.. to hell with em.. they shouldn\'t be occupying Palestinian Territory in the first place. It was their risk to not adhear to the UN\'s decree.. so **** em. There\'s always a risk of loosing when you gamble.. guess Isriel shouldda quit when they were ahead.

Palistine AND Israel were both "made" by the UN.

Upon it\'s inception, Palastine (along with others) decided to attack Israel.

Palastine Lost and the Israelies occupied thier land as a war spoil.

....Who\'s fault is THAT??

Inform yourself.

Cignus, the Palestinians were there before the Israilies came over.. but they were like the Native Americans. Just a bunch of loose tribes trying to survive in the desert. The Jews were always attracted to the Holy Land because of the myrid of holy sites which were there. The Israilies and Palestinians actually lived in harmony for many years. Well, maybe not harmony, but amicably without being at each other\'s throats like they are now. Then after WWII, Israiel was flooded with Jewish refugees who needed places to live. They took the Palestinian\'s land because Palestine wasn\'t a formal state. Still isn\'t.. it\'s just territories... so they keep on taking it... regarless of the rules the UN set down in their accord. Naturally the Palestinians aren\'t going to be pushed out of their own homes.. and that\'s where the meat of the conflict really began. It\'s just been bitterness and hatred compounded over the years since then.

Kinda like what happened in Texas where American Settlers moved into Mexican Territory and lived peacefully.. creating a sort of "Govern\'t free state".. until they wanted rejoin the US and take the land they were on with them. The Mexicans didn\'t like that, and decided to take the land back... Remember the Alamo?

Why am I not surprised we\'re blindly supporting Isriel though all this? After all.. it\'s the exact same thing we\'ve still have trouble realizing that we did to the NA\'s. So quick to denounce others for that nasty "G" word.. but our country is just as guilty (historically, at the very least) as Pol Pot, Milosovich, and Hitler. Oh but that\'s ok.. we just give em some collage grants, a few casinos, and sweep that whole ugly mess under the carpet.

So yeah.. I support the Palestinians because they\'re in the same boat as the NA\'s were. Like I said tho.. I don\'t agree with their methods.. Civilians should never be targets.. but I sympathise with their predicament.

I can\'t believe someone made a reference to the Mexican War.  I thought it was virtually forgotten today.  Unfortunately it\'s not an appropriate reference, because we all remember what happened to the Mexicans.  The US Army marched all the way to Mexico City.  We could have annexed all of Mexico back in 1848 if we\'d wanted it, but of course... we didn\'t.  :)

Same thing will happen to the Arabs if they choose to screw around with the Israelis in a conventional war.  Don\'t forget that Israel has nuclear weapons.

Sure, we wiped out vast numbers of Native Americans, and the Chinese wiped out huge native populations, and the Iraqis are trying to wipe out the Kurds, and the Indonesians tried to wipe out the East Timorese.... it goes on and on.  We\'re all guilty, and there is no justice.  Get accustomed to that concept.

I know it\'s kinda off the subject, but does anyone else wonder what Saddam would think if he saw South Park: the Movie?

The egyptian foreign minister openly announced that they\'ll move in on Israel if other countries will help foot the $100 billion bill. WW2 costed roughly $1 trillion combined, i believe.

I doubt Iraq would make a move, because it would just speed up any attack the USA plans on taking. And justify the USA in defending Israel.

If you don\'t think that the Arab nations can get nukes overnight from Chechnyan rebels, then you\'re kidding yourself. Don\'t forget that some of the largest Uranium deposits in the world lie in the middle east... A little tidbit the US government doens\'t like bragging about. This is why they can\'t use satellites to detect weapons of mass destruction.

Israel no doubt has a stronger army than any of them, but they\'ll get trounced by sheer numbers. Take the civil war, the south essentially kicked the north\'s ass. But the north simply had too many supplies and people.

Israel is a nation that was founded by terrorism and treachery within the jewish population (Look up the name Ralph Castner). It remains a nation that survives on terrorism. Palestine was there as a nation for a very long time, their presence is well documented in the bible. Just because the UN doesn\'t consider them a legitamate nation doens\'t mean they didn\'t exist.

and the Iraqis are trying to wipe out the Kurds

Common misconception. There\'s actually very little evidence which concludes that ever happened. The UN even admits to this. It\'s typical US propaganda used to flaunt a war. Just like they won\'t tell you that Iraq paid back all reparations to Israel and signed peace agreements with the Saudis and Kuwait.

The only thing Saddam is guilty of on an international scale is not bending over so the US can **** him up the ass.

In any event, the article is baseless and in all probability is bull****. Just look at the guy who\'s talking...

What the?  I was just about to waste 30 minutes of my life assembling a post containing links to all sorts of information describing the Iraqi\'s massacres of Kurds, and then I remembered...  You were the one who made the unsual claim that this stuff never happened.  Therefore YOU should be the one to cite your sources.  Please do so, because I can\'t really accept this bizarre logic that Iraq is a hapless victim.

Perhaps I was a little too soft on Saddam. He\'s a **** and will no doubt burn in hell, Specifically for killing hundreds of thousands of Iranians with chemical weapons. But he\'ll end up no worse than any of our own politicians. American political representation is far more horrific than anything Saddam has done, and if this were a just world 80% of them would have had their testicles removed.
Speaking of which, where do you think he got those chemical weapons?

The CIA.

As for the denial as to what he did to the Kurds, I\'ll try and pull up a few quotes/articles which cite the UN\'s denial of said events.

More importantly are the quotes coming from actual UN weapons inspectors. I\'\'ll try and get it up tonight, but i got a paper to finish.

The israelis were never a reliable source of information.

They definately have a lot of it, via The Mossad. They just withdraw and withhold for their own political agenda.

As for anticipation of war, just look at 1973. They\'ve been spouting a defensive attack for a decade now, and have pretty much accused every country in the mid-east of planning a war.

Iraq is in no condition for war, especially against Israel with the current American tensions. It wouldn\'t torpedo any attakc on Baghdad, it would just give America a bigger excuse to go out and kill more civilians. And why the hell would they be working with Iran?
