Title: Overhyped seems to be the new way to go.
Post by: QuDDus on May 21, 2002, 03:40:34 AM
Watched spider man yesterday in the dorms. I felt the movie was very overhyped. I didn\'t like the way they cut some of the seens. Glad I didn\'t waist my money on this one.

Next victom is SW:ATC

Actually, I disagree.  They hardly chopped it down at all, 2.5 hours, and I think they touched all the major elements in the original series.  When you consider that they were putting years of comics into a movie, I think they did an excellent job.  I\'m seeing it (in theatres) again tonight.

Quddus... do you ever like... anything?
If you expect better entertainment than that for 5 bucks... your going to be sadly dissapointed for most of your life.

actually, if we\'re speaking movies

there\'s probably 1000\'s of films out there that are FAR more entertaining than spider-man

1st off, Tim Burton\'s Batman

now, there\'s a superhero film

I think we all have different standards then.  I know there are thousands of better movies out there, Run Lola Run, Amelie, the Proffesional, Dark City, etc.  However, for me, if I dont\' begrudge the 5 US I spend to see a movie, it\'s worth it.  Spiderman, for me at least, is worth 5 bucks.  What I\'m saying is that if your standards are set so high that you only accept the top .5% of things, you will end up dissapointed in spending your money in a lot of things, movies, games, nights out.

Batman is no super hero, he\'s an insane madman that should be locked up.

Seriously, a rich guy with a bat fetish decides to build super stuff and fight crimes.

You have to admit it made for a better movie than spiderman.

I thought Spiderman was an alright movie. The end sucked though. What a gay fag.. You\'ll get it when you see it.

Too bad they messed up the batman movies with the 3rd one... ..

They should have kept the same atmosphere as the first 2.  And kept the same batman actor.

Don\'t blame the movie...blame the comics.

That is where they got that ending from afterall

Dude, I think he was talking about the editing. Its got some weird ass editing chops.

As for him not liking anything, thats true. Get a life mate, you would have wasted like $7 at the movies. Are you that poor? Also, it must be pretty good to have already taken in $200 Million. Its your bad if you believed the hype. Take all hype with a grain of salt.

Thats prolly why I enjoyed Glitter...

I also loved Resident Evil. I thought that was the bomb.

Resident Evil sucks :( Ok, it isnt as bad as Collateral Damage... that has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen on cinema :( Not seen Spiderman yet, but I hope it is better then Batman...

Don\'t let anyone tell you that Spider-Man is a bad movie; It\'s great, faithful to the comic, etc, etc.

And FYI, I loved Resident Evil to. I didn\'t much like the "created" story...or the super Licker...but I loved the loud music/sound fx. And Miss Jovovich is so damn hot, its not even funny...

Quddus, IS there anything you DO enjoy? :)

Overhyped seems the way to go?  Why not hype a movie?  It increases its sells.

And if you watch a movie just because of the hype,  you dont have perception.
