I bought a PS2 this weekend and came home, hooked the PS2 up and no video. I had to go to Wal-Mart buy a RFU-Adapter came home installed and works. I tried to hook the PS2 to my speakers so I could get better sound rather than my T.V., and it didn\'t work. Any suggestions? Do I need to buy some type of adapter for my audio feed?

what cable are you using for sound?
RCA?
digital?

are you using rca cables cause you origonlly stated you hooked it up and it only comes stock with rca cables so you must have first tried rca did you have it on the right station on tv or set to the right input selction rca is much better then the way you have it going now through a cable coax

In what way did you try to hook up the audio to the stereo?
One thing I would check is to see if the audio/video cable that came with the ps2 is defunct. Try using the cables from your psOne and see if those work.
Originally you said there was no video. Was there sound when you originally hooked it up?
And last, if you used the RF adapter, then where did you try to draw the audio feed from??? The tv? If it is from the tv, then the problem doesnt lie in the ps2, but somewhere in your connections.
Hope everything works out okay :)
