Sony announces key release information regarding FFXI, and several high-profile online RPGs.
During its press conference earlier today, Sony revealed several details regarding the availability and release-dates for several upcoming PS2 online RPGs. First off was Final Fantasy XI, which the console manufacturer revealed will indeed be released in North America at an unspecified time in 2003. EverQuest Online Adventures, furthermore, is currently slated for a spring 2003 release, while the recently confirmed-for-PS2 Star Wars Galaxies will follow it in winter of 2003. Resident Evil, finally, was shown in brief video form, though no release info for it was given.
We\'ll have more information on the PS2\'s online lineup as it develops.

I swear Square said it was coming at the end of 2002.

Relax.... Delays are usually for the best, and if they are trying to boost its quality and it only costs a couple weeks/months than why complain?
-
Man, I told you. Sorry.
You\'ll have Dark Chronicle, Xenosaga and Wild Arms 3 to keep you going:) ...to name a few.

If the americans get it in 2003, then us europeans will probably get it 2004/2005!

Looks like I\'ll still be playing PSO for the NGC for longer than I had thought... :(
Question: What good is taking the PS2 online if you can only do it in the last 2 1/2 years of the console\'s lifespan? FFXI was my most anticipated online title.. and this puts a serious dent into weither I decide to buy a PS2 or NGC first.

The good thing about FFXI is, by the time it\'s out in europe we will have kids of our own to play it with
