Title: How is Gamecube selling?
Post by: CS2x on May 23, 2002, 01:52:43 PM
Just out of interest, I\'m wondering...how well is the GC selling around the world? Because, when I bought it a few days ago with Super Monkey Ball, I went through at least eight large shops which had all sold out, untile I found one lovely black Cube remaining in Computer Exchange....:)

I think it deserves to do well...I mean, I swear if SMB was any more bloody addictive it would be illegal!

"Who cares how GC is selling"? its all about the games on any console, anyone that just buys a console to fit in  is kinda lame, and No i didn\'t buy my Xbox to fit in, i bought it for alot of reasons. And im glad I did.

The GCN has a 1,000,000+ unit lead over Xbox in Japan, and outsells it weekly.

The GCN has reportedly already matched (or beaten) European sales of Xbox in a fraction of the time.

During March, the GCN was outselling the Xbox in the US for a few weeks in a row. Since NPD stopped their charts, we have no way to know.. however, GCN units are supposedly flying off the shelves thanks to Resident Evil.

If I had to guess, I\'d say that the GCN is now 100K units behind.. coming off of Xbox\'s 300K lead. It\'s probably still a bigger lead, but as I said.. I can\'t tell. All I know is, March\'s games had an impact and RE had an impact.

Come on, one said that N64 only reached 5 million in Japan.

Another said PS only reached 19 million in Japan...

PS has sold 80 million worldwide...how is it that  UK (everyone seems to think this is the lesser market), and the US make up 60 million consoles?

And the N64, only 5 million in Japan. That\'s the same amount that the Saturn sold (or so your chart says) and it managed to survive.  It also sold over 30 million, how is it that the UK and US made up 25 million?

Ginko, I think I shall just add to my ignore list rather then listen to your stupidity.

First of all, I make a weekly chart.
That data I posted ONE CHART (not 2 like you inferered) regrading 1993 to present numbers which were from the magic box, and I only posted it one week. I never post fake data, and the fact you called any of it fake just shows how

1.) Worried
2.) Desperate
3.) A fanboy

You are.

Also, that number was obviously shipped, cause the xbox has yet to sell 200k in japan. But, since your such the xbox fanboy, you would also ignore facts like that instead of looking at the whole picture trying to determine what the data might actually curtail.

So, in summary, I call you fake Ginko, cause its about all your worth, and all you add to this forum.

EDIT:

Btw, you are now on my ignore list.
No point in waisting my time with your ignorant @$$

What exactly does this "ignore" do?

Does it mean that Chrono won\'t see my posts and I won\'t see his?!?

I just don\'t like you, that\'s all.  I\'ll argue with you any chance I get...

I still don\'t understand where the numbers came from...seemed like a compiled piece of crap to me...but then again I don\'t expect much more from you...

I also don\'t totally believe that those charts he post are accurate...or even close for that matter.  There are conflicting numbers on a few charts...way back when one of them was even off 2 million for PS2 sold.  I don\'t pay much attention to them anymore...

No offense chrono...I\'m talking about the charts you get your numbers from and comparing them to others.
