“Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones” remained the No. 1 movie with $61.2 million over the four-day weekend, putting its domestic total at $202.5 million in 12 days, according to studio estimates Monday. (Studio estimates are not independently verified.)
It hit $200 million one day faster than its predecessor, “Episode I — The Phantom Menace” in 1999. That film had held the record for quickest film to reach the $200 million mark until “Spider-Man” did it in nine days this month.

Spidey hit the 200 mark 3 days quicker than Star Wars. Woo Hoo. Take that Lucas. You suck wad... ANyone know how much those two movies cost to produce?

Wow, I didn\'t know Spidey did that well. That\'s awesome. I never was a big fan of Star Wars anyway... I\'m only going to see Episode II to see Yoda kick some butt with a lightsaber. :D

I think Spider-Man took about 100 million or more to make...not sure though.

What can I say, I have a news background. I am trained to leave out minor details that just get in the way of a good story.

Just like any good reporter would do, leave out the facts to make a story. Damn media.

I believe Spiderman\'s budget was $120 million.
Chump change.

Spider-Man made another record: It made $300 million in only 22 days.
