Title: To gamecube or not!
Post by: on May 29, 2002, 05:10:30 PM
Sorry for the lame subject title :). But I just recently got enought money to buy a Gamecube ($149.99) and was wondering if I should get it. I am 80% sure. The reasons: multiplayer games, more "e" rated games for my younger siblings, and- I LOVE SUPER SMASH BROS!!! What do you guys think? Should I?

I have one, it\'s pretty sweet. I only have 2 games, Rogue Leader and RE. And it seems as if the next game I will want is PSO, but you might be different.

The only next generation system I don\'t own...but that will change, oh yes it will!

I couldn\'t pass up the next Metroid, Starfox, Zelda, or Mariokart for anything...

It\'s the next console I\'m hoping to get, and Nintendo has never dissapointed me before.

Even 64 had it\'s gems...  I musta logged 150 hours of multiplayer with goldeneye :).

Uh, yeah.. for $149 it\'s a steal. Don\'t be afraid to play a game because it seems to be just for kids, either.

90% of the time, those games end up being the best of the best.. ;)

What do I think, I think you don\'t need our permission or our acceptance to make a purchase you\'re fairly sure you\'ll enjoy.

There\'s enough games on the NGC to make you 80% sure you want to buy one.

The GC is only through about 13% of it\'s lifespan.. maybe less.

The chances of it being a haven for a lot of great titles like all of it\'s predecessors is 100%.

Dosen\'t sound to me like there\'s much room for doubt over weither this will be a good purchase for you. IMO, you should get one asap.

Certainly a good purchase..

I stick with my original plan and suggestion

PS2 and GCN are all you need, if you still need more games.. then.. umm, go get a job :D

I really dont see how you can go wrong. A few goodies out now. PLus the future looks bright. Plus since for me, its a secondary gaming system, I dont need to buy games as soon as they come out and can concentrate on my ps2 exploits :D

Definitely get it.  It is the first and only next gen console I\'ve gotten so far.  Well worth it too.  I\'ve played and really enjoyed several games (Smash Bros, Rouge Leader, Super Monkey Ball, Pikmin, RE, etc).  And if you saw what happened at E3, it looks like there are great games to come.

As long as you already have a PS2, you have my permission.
