We now have our hands on the final version of V-Rally 3 for PlayStation 2 and it has exceeded our expectations in many ways.
Visually the game is without a doubt the best looking Rally title on the PS2. The car models are extremely detailed with 3D animated driver and co-driver, full internal roll cage and dashboard and 3D wheels that look amazing as you race around the courses. Add to this the fact that the game also has full damage support, showing dents, scratches and broken windows, and you have a game that looks stunning.
The variety of locations to race in also include detail levels that are far beyond any other race on the PS2 to date. You\'ll race through snow covered densely populated pine forests, across arid deserts that stretch as far as the eye can see, and along mountain roads with backdrops that also stretch far into the distance and are all rendered in amazing 3D.
To give you an idea of the detail of V-Rally 3, we have included some new screenshots of the game as well as an awesome video (34 MB in total, with over 3mins of racing action) that showcases this stunning game. Be sure to download the video as it\'s well worth the wait.

cool, though ive never been a bigfan of the v rally series. i saw a vid few weeks ago, looked good, not great.. ill prob wait for cm3
-
Yeah, the vid I posted looks alot better then the others...

mmh, I downloaded the video.. Got to love the pop up. Don\'t know, but after that interview and claims in regards to GT3, I lost all respect I had for this game. Environments look nice, so do the cars, but IMHO, this doesn\'t look better than GT3. It\'s just the realism and the realistic look that isn\'t quite there... I might change my mind though in 2 weeks (European launch of V-Rally3)

How many fps does v rally 3 run at because i watched a video of it on ops2m dvd and it was very slow it didn\'t look that impressive to
-
it should run at constant 60 fps. I think I know which video you saw on the OPM2 demo disc... if I am correct, that was a quite early build of the game. The in-game footage in the video above does reflect the game as it will ship (most likely, since it\'s coming out in 2 weeks here).
